opening ceremony at MK

On mornings of extra magic hour at the MK do they still do the grand opening (with the characters on the train) for the resort guests at 8 am or do they wait until 9am when it opens to everyone? I really want to see it. thanks!

As I undestand it, they don't do the show on morning EMH days.

I've heard this too. They don't do the opening character greeting on EMH days. Not sure why though?

They do not do the morning show on EMH mornings. They did try it when they first started doing the show but found there were not enough people there right at the begining of the EMH to do it and when the park was ready to officially open to the public it was to hard to hold people back since they had been watching people go in for the EMH. So it was decided that on EMH mornings there would be no opening show (with the trains and the characters)... they still do the morning speil welcoming everyone to the park and the characters are still in town square at park open.

This is something I must see on our upcoming trip. My lazy family will not get up for park opening even on EMH!!!
