From the newspaper today:

A man who was fired by IBM for visiting an adult chat room at work is suing the company for $5 million, claiming he is an internet addict who deserves treatment and sympathy rather than dismissal. JC, 58, of NY says he visits the chat rooms to treat traumatic stress from the Vietnam war.

DANG, I missed tonight's Wife Swap. I dig that show! Where do they dig up these people! Certainly some of it is staged? Hopefully?

I'd end up in a rich Malibu Beach home where the snobs ignore me the whole time and I have to teach the ungreatful brat kids how to be thankful and they'd edit it to make me look ( ) like a big fat Big Gulp drinking loser! In exchange, DH and DS17 and the little ones would receive silicon Malibu Barbie who would file her nails and sip her lime-flavored Perrier water, as she is forced to DIS under my username for hours on end and suddenly Utahmama is spouting things like, "@!%$#&* this sucks" insulting all my friends as my DH and DS17 stare at her and flex their pecs whenever they walk into the kitchen. I come home and my toddler has acrylic nails and DH put our family in major debt by buying a Ferrari launching him into major mid life crisis mode...

I have never seen Off-Kilter. I checked a couple of times while I was there, but they were never on.

Uma, tonight's Wife Swap had a family on who only ate raw food, including meats, and brushed teeth with butter and clay. The kids had absolute fits at eating any cooked foods, convinced they would die, practically. The husband broke down in tears about it (OH NO, my kids can;t eat cooked foods). Really bizzarre.

Seriously, it was a winner! I keep wanting to write more, but we've been fighting off the flu bug for the past week. It keeps re-emerging, and poor Bunny has missed a lot of school lately!!!

MommyP, sounds like a fun trip! What I want to know is, what excuse did you give to the security guard at BW to park there?

I had every intention of being turned away and that being okay. I also figured if we had to valet park. Whatever! But I figured since it was a entertainment place they'd have to let people in? And we did want to check out the Boardwalk since we never had before. So we just told him,"We're going to the Boardwalk" He waved us through. We parked in a half empty lot to the right and that was it. We didn't even get a parking pass.

Happy Pancake Day!!!!!!!!!!!

The kids are pretty excited because they get pancakes at school day.

Growing up I thought pancake day was Ash Wed. because that is when we had them. Can't have meat on that day so that is when my Mom gave them to us.

Sunday is Riley's b-day and DL day
Monday is DTD and favorites. The "Best of" day
Tuesday.....the drive home.

Good morning all! I tried to stop by yesterday but I never could get logged in.

I went back about 10 pages to catch up. I hope I didn't miss anything before then!

Congrats on the tag Lil' G! Very cool. Celery, just hang in there. Greatness (thinness) is just around the corner!
Congrats on all the woohooty's and trips and upcoming trips. I have no vacation until May and then it's church related. Our trip to Disneyland/Vegas is in October sometime.

In other news, I am down a total of 10.5 lbs and 9.5 inches as of last Saturday! I just have about 20 more to go!

So Fat Tuesday (and Mardi Gras) is the last hurrah before Lent. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent. Catholics go to Mass? and get an ash cross put on their foreheads.
Lent symbolizes the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness being tempted.
Right?
But why the ashes?
And what's with the pancakes?
And giving up something for Lent shows respect for Jesus fasting.

Ute - Your wife swap thing was hilarious. I read it to my mom. She said those people last night didn't wash their hands because God wouldn't let anything hurt them.
