Isn't if funny how some people seem to search for threads they can be jerks in? The same person on the CB who got into it on a spanking thread started bashing homeschooling mamas on the family board. Get a frickin' LIFE!

For your information, seeing as marriage counselling is part of my occupation, I know how important communication is. We talk about virtually everything. However, when a decision is to be made and we are not with each other, we both trust each other to do that individually sans discussion. And we have different priorities than others, I suppose. Spending ridiculous amounts on hair appointments that won't even be remembered that are more for parents than for kids isn't one of them.

Can you imagine going to a marriage counselor and finding out their not even married? I don't think they would be the best person to talk to about marriage problems.

Uma's going to Disneyland soon and we're all jealous

MommyPoppins went to WDW over the weekend and posted a mini trip report

Celery recently had gastric bypass surgery and is really, really hungry and we were mean enough to talk about yummy food until she spoke up! As a consolation, she was the 100th poster on Kay's TR and had the most recent segment dedicated to her

Kay is going on vacation soon to Hilton Head Island and is hoping for her "Lucky Fourteens" goog weather

WT has been being WT

Marita and I have been procrastinating on doing chores around the house

Twinkie is trying to get her house ready to sell, so she is making up for Moo and Marita's laziness!

Nab was under the weather, but is better now and back to her page-turning duties

Grammy, Haley, Joe, Pongo, and Kimmie have popped in occasionally, but many of the old-timers are MIA

Pumba's been busy overseeing medical care for her DM and DMiL lately

NAb - I'm planning on going back next Monday. I only had 53 emails. I triaged most of them, answered a few.

I like using the word triage. heh. Ever since our corporate counsel used it in a presentation in the summer, it's become an "it" word.

That and draconian. She described Medicare's online system as draconian. And didn't even know the precise definition of it.

I thought there would be more posts during the day today with people being off, but it seems it was pretty quiet.

Had to cancel a lunch date today because another one popped up, for a former boss who is leaving Disney. Dang, I really liked working for him, and around here, you keep running into the same people a lot over the years, seeing we have so many people and so many different departments all in the same place.
At least this lunch is free, and I can reschedule the other one. I had a lovely ham and cheese hot pocket for lunch today from the cafeteria
