Ok so I take my dcar to a new place last week for an inspection and an oil change. New laws in Pa require emission testing but not for me due to my county that I live in
Make the appointment and drop it off, go back to work, trapped like a rat if you will
Get the call its done, YAY Go to get it and ask how much as I hand my debit card over. LADIES!!!! HOLD ON TO THAT DEBIT!! ONLY PRETEND TO HAND IT OVER UNTILL THEY TELL YOU THE PRICE!!! (your PSA of the day )
So I hear $15.99. What? No freakin way!
Yep!! No oil change!!! I was kinda mad
Next appointment later that week, back to my place, where they know my name, take care of me and don't sugar coat crap!
One more day without my car, can you tell even if I don't use it, I want it at my whim
Get car, heres the WEEKEND!!! LOVE the weekend!!
Back up. Get the car and I hear a clinking noise
Weekend and the running around ensues, I had enough!! Call up best friends DH who use to be my mechanic and pretty much said I will be down in 10 minutes, your going for a ride with me and tell me whats up!
So I pick him up and we drove for 10 minutes on the country roads and I heard it, he didn't. Fine, we switch, and he drives.
Within 3 minutes he determines what it was. Any guesses?

Thankfu is the ninja art of thankfulness and stealth. Much like jiu-jitsu only with more thanksgiving.

I cant believe no one knows what thankfu is. It's MORE than a forgotten "L" my friends. Much, much more....meaningfu.

Ok. I will go next.

I have done all but one of these things.

1. Got drunk, started a fight and fell off a balcony and broke my arm.

2. Dunked a basketball.

3. Placed and won a $100 bet on Smartie Jones while at Church Hill Downs watching the Kentucky Derby.

Wow, U/M. Bringin it. No Miss Smarty Pants. I was not a toddler at the time. And, I can, well could, dunk a basketball in college. I did get drunk, get in a fight, fall off of a balcony (about 20 ft) and break my arm in college. I have never been to the Kentucky Derby. I have wagered (and lost) plenty on simulcast wagering on that race but never in person. Thank yu all for playing.

Utah is a Smarty Pants! I was busy googling to see if Smartie Jones actually ran at the Downs. The Kentucky Derby website is fabulous by the way... cool music and what not.

I was pretty sure you could dunk in spite of the rap-like display earlier.

I am shocked that you actually got into a fight.... (you all know they call him Sweet Thins over on the DISappearing Peep thread)

OK, the reveal to my 2 truths and a Lie:

1) Australia - never been there, although i had some lovely cyber visits with some friends there. If only I could recall the name for a mobile home, it was sooooo funny. But alas, not in person.

2) Robbed at gunpoint - true: 1968, I was a about 16 and going to visit relatives behind the iron curtain in germany via train. At the border, there were big huge watch towers with floodlights and wires and soldiers with guns. Some soldiers got on the train carrying machine guns and went through everyones luggage, and confiscated any written material.
I lost some of the best romance novels that night!!!

3) Playin with communist troops - True: Same trip, 1968. After the border incident, I went with my aunt, uncle and cousin (17), to a vacation on the beach at the baltic sea. Where there were North Vietnamese troops for some R&R. My cousin and I met some some nice Tchech guys ( I was one dating for 2 weeks (we communicated via arms, legs, and a dictionary he carried in his speedo ). Anyway, we played water ball in the baltic sea with the North Vietnamese soldiers.

Meanwhile, I had just started dating DH back home. who was defending the homeland in a missile base.
