Freezing rain here right now.

Had to get up to see if the school buses are running of course they are not. The kids have a snow day or ice day take you pick.

Well maybe I will try to go back to sleep but I am sure that won't happen because Hubby isn't home from work yet and since I am a worry wart I will be on pins and needles until he is home.

Hope everyone else is snug in the beds warm and cozy.

For names though, I veto Karaoke Cafe, that's way too limiting, this is not just a singing hangout. (besides, I can't sing, I got thrown out of the choir in school for singing off-key, a traumatic experience for a 13 year old, LOL).

Maybe Fun Peeps Hangout? (where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came............)

We got more ice & snow last night. My poor southern boy (DS12) who is just getting used to going to school in the snow and now it snows on a holiday:



Today is TwinkieDaddy's birthday (I guess for security purposes I should have said today may or may not be TwinkieDaddy's birthday... ) anyway my twin DDs (not quite 5) made birthday cards. Here is what they said... a lovely experiment in nature vs. nurture, inborn temperment, genetic destiny what have you....


Daddy, I love you and this letter is for you and I make the star and these colors are rainbow and I have a special present for you and I am going to pack you a special thing but I can't tell you. And I love you and there are some rainbows I love to see. On hot days I like to go to the beach and I love to swim with you when you come and I love you and I love when you love me but he funnest part is when I get to make the birthday cake.

its me.......it is still doing that horrible S word........I think we are on the border of freezing rain and sleet and all snow......so we will see what happens later on today.....looking out the window and it is still S-ing.......you know what I mean....
I am still in my housecoat and just messing around....doing my moms laundry for her and hubby did ours.....he is a good laundry person even if I do say so myself......he brings it up from down in the cellar and he folds his and I fold mine..
I guess I will take my shower now and then think about what is up for supper...probably chicken breasts with baked taters and SPINACH.....well spinach is for me and I will do something else for him.......he is off any vitamin K thingies......

Hubby made it home. The ice is pretty thick on car windows so it took him awhile.

So is it a holiday there for everyone or just the schools? UMA mentioned it yesterday. Really a short week for the kids here now because they are off on Friday too. I will get nothing done this week.

Glad your feeling better Marita bet you don't have ice problems. Is it nice and warm there?
