Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome

Well it's narrowed down to a Inglesina Twin Swift(which I LOVE for the 3 handles) or the Maclaren Rally Twin(which I love for the 55 pounds in each seat limit) both are about the same, however it seems the rally twin comes with a rain hood, which I am not sure is the same as a cover? :confused3

I'm off to fold my mountains of laundry.

Hmmmmm... I get to see the real-life (animatronic) in 16 days.
Be still my heart!

No, John Dunbar. Not John Dumb Bear.

Tell me the film. Without googling or asking Lil G, Lil Miss Cutie Pie or straight A student Windy.

Wheat Thins

Shoot. How I am supposed to know anything without asking Lil G, Lil Miss Cute Pie or SmartyPants Windy?

My little sis went to Missouri for her honeymoon. How funny is that?

That is funny-odd. And funny-ha-ha. Now I don't feel so wierd for going to the Poconos. I would love to come over with a minivan full of laundry for girl talk and a folding party! I will fold all your laundry for you and mop the kitchen while you potty train both of our babies... deal?

Very dumb/funny. WHO would go to the State of Misery for their honeymoon. We have the arch, the Cardinals and Wheat Thins. NOTHING else.

Wheat Thins

Umm. What about KC? Nice little town. Impresses us folks who measure culture by the number of wal-marts the town can support.

Wait, I want in the laundry folding/ potty training party! I'll bring my toddler, some big-girl panties, my laundry, some Ritz with spray-cheese, some Yoo-Hoo, and my cell-phone # in case you need me while I'm at the day spa (;) WHAT?!?)
Better yet, hire a nanny for the day, and we'll all go to the day spa to celebrate TwinkieDaddy's new JOB!

Close, soooo close. We almost bought one of those things. Does the dog know how to play?

Wheat Thins

Not yet. But he barks at the game when I'm playing tennis. And he's mesmerized by Meerkat Manor, TFI. Anytime a meerkat runs off the screen he runs the same direction away from the TV trying to figure out where it went. :rotfl:

Okay I will turn the page. ....

I have one kid home sick today and I was napping again when he did. But I got up and he is still there. Guess we shouldn't go on vacation :lmao:

Wheat Thins I love pinball. I want one too. When I was younger and went to the arcades I played pinball while everyone else was into video games. Wow that seems along time ago.

Wooooohoooooty on 1700 Mommyp!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my laundry's done. Where were you two?

Twinkie - I don't potty train. Okay? I haven't had to yet, and I don't plan on starting now.

Uma - Could you imagine how much you'd have to pay a nanny to watch ALL of our(you, twinkie and me) kids(how many is that anyway?) AND do the laundry for all of us? :rotfl:

Hello, open Mic-ers!! It's a snow day here!! So I'm home with the kids and enjoying the day off. How's everyone doing?

Thanks, Marita and Nab! I thought the darn scale would never move.

I agree with you on having House as a doc, Nab. Didn't catch next week's preview.

I can't wait for Boston Legal to get over so I can watch Gilmore Girls. Thank goodness for TiVo!

I LOVE Gilmore Girls!! It's new to me, so I started renting them on DVD. I'm up to the middle of season 4. I have my DH and DD13 addicted to it too!

Ok. It was worth a shot on the potty training. I am in no hurry... this kid is growing up too fast as it is. I think we each have 4 kids (unless you are already on #5) so the nanny plan will take some serious penny saving.

I had to run some errands and now I should be doing something useful... got any moving advice?

Twinkie moving is a good time to purge....just watched Oprah on de-cluttering your house. I need that guy to come clean out my house. I have a lot of toy clutter and paper clutter by the computer.

MommyP I love that you have nekid kids running around so you can wash all the clothes up. That is why I wash at night, I get everyone in jammies though and wash everything up.

Poor DS has been in bed all day. I think he just needs to catch up on his sleep from the trip. He has a upset tummy but has only thrown up early this morning. He has had been doing extra stuff at night too so I am sure he is just worn out.

Hi NAB!!! I've been meaning to tell you that I LOVED your cruise photos!! It looked like you guys had so much fun!! Was it a 3, 4, or 7-day?

Hi Twinkiemama! Potty training is never any fun. My advice for doing something useful...Take a bubble bath and feast on Hershey Kisses. De-Stressing is useful. That way you aren't such a hag to your kids! :)

My DH has torn apart the interior of the Suburban and we've been cleaning every nook and cranny. I even scrubbed the bolts. All the drink holders are muck free. The carpet is sparkling. The spare tire and jack are perfect. My center console has Kleenex, baby wipes, first aid, and a roll of paper towels. :cool2:

Did I mention my DH works 6pm to 6 AM the morning we leave (7am). He'll sleep while I drive. Oh GOODY! Can you just FEEL the love oooozing for 10 hours? I was all set to "passenge" not drive. :guilty:

16 more days till THE ROADTRIP to Cally! :woohoo: All the ladies sing, "Woot-woot!"

Twinkie - My moving advice(I've moved out of our house, into a friends house, out of his house into a dulplex out of the duplex and into this house all from Feb. 2006-Oct. 2006) is to get rid of everything you haven't used in 6months. If it's something you keep,"just in case" you don't need it. :rotfl: Half my kitchen is still packed up in our shed at my parents. I doubt I'll ever need it back. ;)

Nope, not on number 5 yet. But trying! Although, if we don't end up pregnant this go round, I'm putting a halt for a few months. I DO NOT want to be about to deliver come next holidays. I did that with my last and it was WAY to wasy to gain weight, too much. I went from gaining less than 20 with #3 to gaining 40 with #4. :scared1:

If I was caught up at night, by morning I'd have a load. Jammies, blankets, sheets, someone's almost certain to make a mess in their bed.

I think if we all pitched in for a day it would be soooooo worth a nanny and a trip to the day spa. It would be the best money I ever spent in a very long time. I think we should start a collection. Hey Umama start a thread........

Driving is so much easier than passenge-ing! The passenger also has to navigate, referee, entertain, do puppet shows, diaper changes, handle all maps, snacks, and predict when potty breaks will be needed. Get everyone "silence sticks" (Best king of the hill evah!). Play "don't wake up daddy" for the first 7 hrs. Then break out PNDQ. That is the best road game- I guarentee that all children old enough to know their letters and understand the thrill of money will be riveted for up to 24 hrs!

Thanks for the advice. I am *so* bad at that. I need someone to stand over me or better yet be here with a large trash bag to urge me to be ruthless. I am married to Mr. Pack Rat.... who was raised by farmers and thinks you should keep/reuse/recycle EVERYTHING.

Good luck with the family planning. The planning part never works for me. I am just thankfu for the kids I have. Also I scoff at your 40 lbs. Let's just say that when I delievered the girls I was almost the same weight as my DH who is 6 ft 1. (I am almost a foot shorter). And they were over a month early. Grown men were scared to ride elevators with me.

Good idea Monica!

Whatever. My wife takes the U/M approach to driving. When I am finally ready to collapse she says sweetly, "Ok, my turn to drive." We switch and she says "Now, get some sleep." Then, she proceeds to drive, continuosly, on the side of the road, where the speed bumps are located, for about 5 miles before I tell her that "OK, nap over, I'm ready to go again."

You can't compare weight gain with twins! I gained 40 on top of 10 pounds from Ethan(only gained 20, but couldn't lose more than 10) I did weigh as much as my DH. I'm never going to see my pre first son weight ever again. :sad2: Gone are the days of single number pant sizes.:rotfl:

Ok, what is PDNQ? I understand the thrill of money!!!!!!(and know my letters)!!!!!! Is there a magical ATM in the Suburban??? Mama-Like!

That would be the braille-method.
I do drive the speed limit with my precious cargo. I dont have that TESTOSTERONE need to beat my previous time to California (9 hrs.18 minutes!)

BUT with my pee-breaks, it'll be 10 ish. It takes me 33 minutes to process 44 oz. of soda  You can set your watch to it.

Strangely enough I believe that you HAVE timed how long it takes you to process that 44 oz. My wife likes to sleep, drink and pee during our 17 hours of H E double toothpicks trip to Disney. My favorite is when we have to stop for a bathroom break and then she buys a 20 oz. diet Dr. Pepper. Priceless.
