Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome

Last edited by TwinkieMama : Today at 04:04 PM. Reason: We don't have a BabiesRus... we have to get our babies via the scientific method. Or the rhythm method. I forget.

Oh I wish it was that easy! I am not looking forward to another delivery. I secretly hope for a breach(breech?) baby next time.

Bunny! I am smack dab in the middle of your TR! It is really GOOD! I am in love with your Bunny! Dont worry. I'm not a weirdo, just ask Nellie (TwinkieMama) and Nab and Wheat and Moo and BackstageGal.You and Kay had me at "Hello".

Grammy- Before any poop stories (of mine) there IS a disclaimer. Feel free to skim if you are faint of heart. :goodvibes

Gil G and Nabby Girl- Yes my doggies came back and Gosh knows what they ate on their adventures to foul up their bowels THAT badly. Poor dogs, Poor me. Did I mention, the barf actually dripped down the heater vent :scared1: ? I wont elaborate in case or sentive tummy peeps are reading. But I will say, I need some ME time and some liquor. Nab- I lust for Captain Jack. I am unbelieveabley jealous. I wont even share with you the obscene thought I had about him asking you if you didnt mind that he hadn't shaved yet.:rolleyes1

MommyP- Duct Tape if you wont use blanket sleepers. We even use Blanket Sleepers in the 100 degree/100% humidity Florida because I have the thermostat set at "North Pole" and Norah is a blanket kicker/stripper so the safety pinned blanket sleeper works well

Twinkie - go to that above IQ quiz for your quiz questions. It is just funny that that quiz deemed me "smart" :snooty: .....Cheaters: only take it once!

Blanket sleepers are the next step when you don't want the baby to grow up and out of sleepers. They look so cute in those.

Twinkie I can't believe you teach. You look like you should be in the class instead. We have everything metric here. We buy our milk in 4L bags or jugs. Our speed on the highway is 100 kms/hr but everyone goes 120-130 here. And the temp here today is -27 C.

Twinkie, WOOOO HOOOTY on DH's new JOB!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:

Boy, you all posted a lot today.

I took the IQ test, I got an 18, 0% smarter than average. Just cause I don't know rap songs, I am sure.... :rolleyes1

Bunnysmom, welcome, thanks for coming. I am sure you will be comfortable here.

YAK, sorry about your cold, stay warm!! Nice to see you drop in.

I am happy to report I have absolutely now poop or barf stories to share (of recent memory, anyway). I know there were plenty in my past, but mercifully I forgot the details...

My home network is acting up yet again today, so I am on dial up till it decides to behave again. I was so hoping to cancel the phone line and MSN account, but at this rate I am not going to.
Any tech advice out there? JOE?????

JOE, where are you?????????????? We miss you!!

I did the I.Q test and got 14 :scared1: I am helping Hannah do her Valentines and I was trying to spell out name and do the test at the same time.....That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Martia did you drive hubby's car yet? Or did he at least drive you somewhere in it?

American Idol is on tonight. Do they have the final ones yet? I missed it last week.

NAB, no, haven't driven the car yet. Probably this weekend. If he lets me!!!!!!

Still auditions on AI tonight.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

I took that IQ test and I got a 24. I'm hoping the mean is NOT 100, and the standard deviation not 15! Oh...I'm calming down now, I see that it calls me "33.2% smarter than average". Now there's some stats I can deal with. If only I were 33.2% tidier, too, 33.2% thinner, and could get whites 33.2% whiter. THEN I'd have me something.

Bunny, now age 7, adores her footie jams (aka blanket sleepers). They're hard to find in her size, but she loves 'em.

TwinkieMama, can use this one for your quiz:
"Briefly describe how the scientific method could be used to devise an experiment supporting the use of microscopes to explain the failure of the U.S. to embrace the metric system. Show your work."

If that fails, here is my favorite nerdy science joke:
An atom says to his buddy, "Hey, I think I lost an electron!" His buddy says, "Are you sure?", and the atom says, "Yeah, I'm positive!" :lmao:
(sorry, I just love that one)

Okay, my break is over. :surfweb:

WOO HOO, Twinkie, on your hubby's new job!!!!!!!!!!! Here's some pixiedust: for selling your house.

WELCOME to Bunnysmum! Nice having you with us. I'm pretty behind on my trip report reading, but I'll be over to check yours out eventually!

Uma, glad to hear your wuppy returned. Mine got sick last week after scarfing down some bird seed. Most of the mess was in his kennel, but it was still a PITA to clean up.

Well, another sprinkler head broke at my building today  Fortunately for me, I went in about an hour late and missed today's fire drill.

Thanks for sharing your pics, Nab. Too bad you can't have pirate: in your siggie!

Moo I think you should just stay home tomorrow.:lmao:

Is it really that cold in your building to break water pipes?

Mommy P your so close to your wooohooty.

This is a female married astronaut lady with 3 kids chasing another astonat female over a an astronate guy (hansome, I must say) The woman looks very lovely in pics from last summer, and like a total hag now. Supposedly the attackers relationship with this man was "more than friends but less than romantic" Whatever that is..........

This is from todays paper:

NASA astronaut accused of attacking a rival for another astronaut's affection at Orlando International Airport was released on $25,500 bond today after authorities upped the ante in her case, charging her with attempted first-degree murder.

Police said there was a "well-founded fear" that Nowak, 43, was going to kill the woman she saw as her rival after they found a brand new steel mallet, knife, rubber tubing and large garbage bags in her possession when she was arrested early Monday, according to an affidavit.

Shortly after 4 p.m., Orange County Judge Mike Murphy set bond on the attempted murder charge at $10,000, bringing the total bond for Nowak's release to $25,500. Her attorney, Donald Lykkebak, claimed this was Orlando officers' attempt to "take a second bite of the apple today."

The bizarre story unfolded last night when Nowak was arrested at Orlando International Airport after driving more than 12 hours from Texas to meet the 1 a.m. flight of another woman who had also been seeing the astronaut Nowak pined for, according to police.

Nowak told police she wore diapers so she wouldn't have to stop during the 900-mile drive and "stealthily" followed Colleen Shipman, a U.S. Air Force captain. Those facts prompted police to add the new attempted murder charge, which could get her life in prison, according to an affidavit released this afternoon.

"The facts that Mrs. Nowak drove approximately 900 miles, urinated in diapers so that she did not need to stop, stayed at a hotel where she paid cash and used a false name and address to register, stealthily followed the victim, while in disguise, and possessed multiple deadly weapons at the time she confronted the victim, as well as spraying the victim with a substance meant to disable a person, create well-founded fear and give this investigator probable cause to believe that Mrs. Nowak intended to murder Ms. Shipman," the report concluded.
(read Pepper spray)
Nowak -- who was a mission specialist on a Space Shuttle Discovery flight last summer -- was wearing a trench coat and wig and had a knife, BB pistol, and latex gloves in her car when police arrested her Monday, reports show.

Reports also show that after Shipman's flight arrived, Nowak followed her to the airport's Blue lot for long-term parking, tried to get into Shipman's car and then doused her with pepper spray.

Nowak, 43, a married mother of three, is also charged with attempted kidnapping, battery, and attempted vehicle burglary with battery.

Yes, Nab, we're watching House!

I wish they would have let us go home, too, but they have our floor pretty dried out. They're still working on drying out the source area upstairs. Apparently, some blowers went out in our building - no spare parts and it's very cold in the atrium between the two towers.

Hope there are no more breaks - they'll run out of entrances to the building. Two down, one to go!

Wow, that astronaut story is freeaky.

I still claim the rap thing did me in! And my slow dial up! yeah, that's it! :cool2:

Not to worry, Marita. I am only average. But to prove that you can teach an old dog new tricks, I got progressively smarter, or at least less stoopid, on each of the next two tries. By the third try, my score said Einstein had competition. :rotfl2: Like you, not only did I not know the answer to the rap question, I had never even heard of any of those people. To add insult to injury, I called Lowell down to my dungeon office, sat him in front of the computer, and insisted he take the test. Of course he trounced my score. I hope I am not relegated to the unheated bedroom tonight.

Way to go Moo!!!!!!!!!, nice bling.

I would and wouldn't want House as my doctor. :rotfl2: He can cure anything. Did you see the preveiws for next week....

Thanks, Marita and Nab! I thought the darn scale would never move.

I agree with you on having House as a doc, Nab. Didn't catch next week's preview.

I can't wait for Boston Legal to get over so I can watch Gilmore Girls. Thank goodness for TiVo!
