Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome Part 3

Looks like Babynurse is too late tho!!

Youre welcome -

and Minnie - it would be no problem to have you join our ressies! (what he has something against beef or fish? Its such a nice laid back attitude - dh does get the CM's to talk about canada tho - we havent found anything we dont like!! :rotfl:

Hi, Kay! You ought to put a hot tub o your new pavilion too!
hottub.gif

The thought has crossed my mind, but at the rate projects get done around here I wouldn't hold my breath on even getting the pavilion before I'm 60! I still don't have all my woodwork in the house yet. Little things like that come first.

well, I've either killed the thread...

or I'm talking to myself...

I usually do you know...

Thanks eeyore45!

I would have eventually figured out how to do. This was for babynurse- she is a fan of Captain Jack.

What gave it away?:rolleyes1 Thanks poly. Loved the pic.

TOO LATE?!?!

There's plenty of Cpt. Jack to go around. Besides my name's Elisabeth, doesn't that give me an advantage? lol

BTW, you didn't kill the thread, I just did.;)

But if you post again, I'll be gone. So then technically you did.

Oh, I would definitely go for finishing the woodwork first, Kay!

But, it would be something to look forward to down the road!!!

Sandy, nice Cap'n Jack pic.

GOOOOOD MORRRRNNNING!

So, NAB how does the Loden green hall look? It sounds pretty. I like anything that has natural earthy colors.

Eeyore I see you! Have a wonderful Saturday. Sorry everyone seemed to "poof" last night. I was going to hop on later, but Lowell came home from his auction and wanted to show me the auction book of all the rare, super expensive clocks that sold. No, he didn't buy any.

Moo In addition to the pavilion, I want a small deck off the side door by the dining area, a screen porch off our master bedroom and a big sun room off the tunnel that will run between the house and the garage/barn. Yes, we have a LOT of plans. Yikes. The tunnel is next on the agenda and has been dug out and is ready to go, but top priority is to finish fixing up my former house and get it on the market ASAP. It has been sitting empty for a year since we moved here. Not good. It gets expensive having two houses. We have so much to do it makes my head spin. Now you know why I don't have any spare time for DIS meets.

Hi babynurse1, poly and Marita!

Poly, didn't you know he's my "freebie"??? I heard he's in to overweight "blonde" mama's from Utah who smell like peach cobbler??? He's VERY particular.

Ah, Uma, did you not read his handwritten note to moi ??????
It may look like my poor printing, but trust me, it is Captain Jack's.

Mornin - I think its time to buy a new couch... but I'd rather invest money in our plane tickets to WDW!!

Morning All,

Kay-- The green actually looks lovely this morning. I want it to go down the stairs now. It doesn't go with the kids bathroom but that too needs a new paint job.too But that will have to wait. I only have hubby for the weekend to paint. Then I won't be seeing much of him.

It is raining here today. But my spring flowers are coming up and the grass is getting greener.

Well guess I should get ready for the day anyway. The kids want a p.j. day. But I don't like staying in p.j.'s. Scared someone will come un announced I guess:lmao:

Poly-- did you dream of Jack last night!!!!

UMA -- How is your son this morning?

Eyeore-- Good plan, buy the tickets. Slip cover the couch...

Marita - sorry on the assistant. I interviewed my first new candidate on Friday. I'm still trying to convince one of our employees in Albuquerque to move here, but we keep playing phone tag.
I worked from 8 to 5 yesterday and did not sit at my desk once! It was crazy. I just now checked work email and voice mail.
Of course, of my 8 voicemail messages, 6 of them were Tammy trying to find me. :sad2:

Poly - not really. I'm not even that excited about this one since we'll only be there 5 days. I think we'll just take it easy. I do need to dig out our disney supplies today though. cuz I won't be home before the trip except for thursday friday saturday and sunday.
I had to reschedule a trip again, so I leave bright and early Monday morning for south carolina.

We have the god kids again this weekend. After we clean the house (maybe), we're taking them and the dogs to our local street festival.
Yep.
A 16 month old, an 8 year old and two puppies. We're loony.
Last night we took the kids to Rainforest Cafe'. We had lots of fun, but spent $111.00!!!!
Goodness gracious.
But it was great and made us want to take them to WDW. We're loony!!!!

Celery, have fun!

The spending $$ comment reminded me that I need to do an expense report for the good-bye lunch. I haven't done one since 2003, when we switched systems, so I have no idea how to do it now. Usually the boss pays, but he was on vacation. I just put it on my calendar for Monday.

Gotta get my nails done today, which bores me to death!! The salon usually has sports playing on TV. Why, I don't know :confused3 The only male ever there is the owner, but he is always busy doing nails, so he is not watching it. I will have to ask sometime ...

Other than that, my plans are for a nap, and I am doing some work right now. Well, not RIGHT now, since I am typing this. geesh!

Twinkie, good luck with the house hunting!

Have a great day everyone.

Googness, Kay! You do have a lot of home projects on your list! An attached garage was a must for us when we bought our house, so I can se where you'd want to get that "tunnel" built first. I have a coworker who is in the two-house situation. It has been very stressful for her. The house they're trying to sell is beautiful, but GM built a new plant within view of their back yard, so it has been difficult to sell. Our home projects are on hold for a few years until we no longer have house payments.

Nab, I'm glad to hear that the paint color looks better in the daylight! I'm was tempted to have a pj day, but we have a sunny day finally, so I think I will get out and about soon to enjoy it. Maybe the nice weather will reach you by tomorrow!

Hi, Marita, Uma, Celery, Twinkie, Eeyore, poly, and any lurkers out there this afternoon!!! Have a GREAT Saturday! :sunny:

Poly-- did you dream of Jack last night!!!!
.

Actually ,yesterday was our anniversary and we did went out for dinner and a movie. Since my husband works every night of the week, we're not used to sleeping together. when he does gets a night off, I try to go to bed earlier than him and get to sleep before he comes to bed because his snoring keeps me awake.
So, I went to bed later than i wanted and had such a weird dream- my husband and I were at a wedding reception with Vanessa Williams, Charlie- the Rolling Stones drummer and some Samoan pro wrestler that just grunted. I kept wondering how we ended up there since we were on a flight to Aruba. It was really strange.
Captain Jack was no where to be found :(

Poly, you sure have strange dreams! A grunting Samoan pro wrestler???? :lmao:

Moo, enjoy the weather.

Kay, I am confuzzled about the tunnel. Like underground? Wouldn't it be easier to do some connection above ground? And I agree with Moo, lots of projects on your wish list.

I am about to head out for the nail salon and get it over with. I keep procrasting.... it's soooooo boring.

Anyway, see you all later. Have a great day.!

I hope your nails turned out nicely. I've never have my nails done. I'm just lucky if they're cleaned and trimmed! Lowell's girls have different colored nails every time we see them. Now I see that squared off ends are "in" but I don't like that look. It would drive me crazy!

The tunnel will go from the lower level of our garage/barn (it has a basement under the rear, and is 1.5 stories above grade) to the basement level of our house where we have our office and family room etc. The top surface of the tunnel will be a sidewalk, but not covered. The idea of the tunnel is to be able to bring over firewood, and eBay items from storage to sell, etc. without having to go outside and get wet. The garage looks like an old fashioned barn. We call it the carriage barn. Lowell plans to add a cupola with a clock tower (another of our many projects).
