Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome Part 3

:hippie:

 back!!!

Angel - love your chachi!!! :)

How long does couches last??? Mine is dying a slow death... the leg broke, its 15 years old... (and dagnabit I just gave my money to the mouse!)

Poor Sanjaya! Why do I care for him so much? Poor guy! Probably because he's someone's baby!

They're all pretty goog. I can watch and catch up with y'all at the same time.

My Kids got a STORY tonight. "Rainbow Fish", again. A bedtime story is not a habit we actually have, but I'm working on it. I love to read and luckily so do they.

If you ever get a chance, read this book to your kids, it is awe-some!

"Ming Lo moves a Mountain" by Arnold Lobel (I just borrow it from the library)

*google it, you will love it!

 Uma, I never sneak... :rolleyes1
BUT do promise to read to your kiddies... actually hey why is that bold?? anyway... I got dh to read the bedtime stories to the boys - and it became such a bonding time, talking time for dh and ds' that it continued through jr hi!!! :goodvibes (they read the Narnia series, Redwall, etc) and Now he's reading to dd.. every night.. no matter what... its that important to dh and to his kids!! truly, its not easy, but it works.

Actually, this ties in with a previous idea, only I don't know if I'd have time to work on it much. My idea was to write an interactive fictional trip report, using real readers as characters, and some fictional peeps. I would write parts of the story to get it going, and other posters would pick up the thread and add sections of conversation and plot. There are a lot of good TR writers here, so it could be really fun and funny. If we started this before your DIS meet, you could have some "scripts" with dialog ready to go by the time you met in September. If nothing else it would furnish funny material to talk about. ;)

Off to bed soon . . .

ooooh CANT WAIT TO READ IT!!! :yay: Hope it doesnt take as long as my trip reports1 (I journal them at wdw and never post them... lazy or self esteem issues, not sure which!) Lazy!

Help ! I just woke from a nightmare!

First thing, my husband came out of the bathroom and had shaved his gorgeous head of hair ( he has had silvery white hair since he was in his late 30's);THEN ! he said he had an errand and would be back in a few. THIRTY minutes later he walks in the door with a flag and his name tatooed on his bald head!!! I kept asking why he would do something like that, and could he start wearing ski caps cause the colors on his head are going to show though when his hair grows back and he just kept smiling at me :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

oh, good morning kids :)

:scared1: too funny... I had a nightmare too... :rolleyes1

Hi Kelly,

Wondered where you went too. Don't watch Lost. I know a lot of people like that show but I can't get into it. Did watch Top Model and Idol results show.

The sun is shining and it is suppose to get up to 15 C ( which is about 60 or so) today....woohoo. That is good for us.

Heading out to Home Depot to return a blind that needs fixing. The since Walmart is next door.....

HI EVERYONE!! :dance3: and I am not a LOST person at all... course I did catch AI (Buh BAYA Sanjaya!!) and ANTM - no more Jae!! YEA!! and have you caught "SHEAR GENIOUS"??? On Bravo - funny show, hair dressers dressing hair, so funny that a girl from Iowa beat us out on color!! :rotfl2: Yep, I'm hooked!!

gotta go, want to see what Rosie has to say!!

Uma-I am not wearing a coat today. It's 61 and sunny here today. I am wearing a sleevless shirt and sandals. :cool1:

(Of course my sneak guy was naked. :scared1: )

Hello again to everyone!

Help ! I just woke from a nightmare!

oh, good morning kids :)

Wow, that is a freaky weird dream. The good thing about a dream like that is when you wake up and find out it isn't true, it is SUCH a GREAT feeling!

I'm booking right NOW! Yahoo! I finally got through! I even added 7 day tickets instead of 1 day base(we're going to upgrade no matter what) that way it's all paid for at once! ;)

I guess I shouldn't get too excited yet, I'm don't have any confirmation!

I'm also vacuuming and watching/listening to The Phantom Of the Opera. It's my MOST favorite movie, I hope one day to see it for reals. I always cry at it. I LOVE the phantom. :confused3 My boys also love it. They are all actually SITTING down and watching it. Even Kaleb! :rotfl:

I have it cranked so loud I can hear it over the vacuum.

I added my building request and part of the building request online, but when I make my ADRs I'll have to check and see if they got them. I requested a corner room. They have 2 windows!

I'm at the apply payment now!

Now we just need to keep the hurricanes away, sickness away, and truck problems away, oh yeah and work needs to stay as is or pick up, AND I HAVE to keep IVY!

If all that goes well, then Woo hooo!

Twinkie - There is a place when you book online to put in information about traveling with another party and a spot to check connecting rooms. AND POR is STILL available for check in on the date I told you this morning!

/
Twinkie? So did you get an offer? Was it a low-ball offer? UGH, the counter-offer stuff is so stressful, especially if there's a lot of homes on the market comparable to yours. Dont go too low just to go.

Yes we got an offer. It was lowish but actually in range not super lowball. However it was squeaky clean and close to our realistic hope (not a our dream hope) and I decided that a clean offer with goog timing was worth a little money.

I'm booking right NOW! Yahoo!
If all that goes well, then Woo hooo!

I am dancing like a banana with you MP!     I am going to go check out the numbers for POR.... just in case!

Hi everyone! Dre, Kay, Poly, Uma, Nab, Sandy, Angel and Alice!!!

Woohoo Mommy P!!!!

I didn't make the reservation Hubby did so I have no idea what or if he requested anything. I usually just tell him what I want and he does all the work....:rotfl:

Got my blind returned and sent off to get fixed. Bought it in 2002 and it has a life time warrenty. No charge.

Went to Walmart and actually came home with nothing. That never happens.Could have bought some nice summer clothes for Hannah but she is starting to get picking on what she wears.

Kay a nap sounds like a good idea but we have another realtor coming tonight for a second opinion. So I have to pick up.

Ok so I can now get 1 room at POR however I am obviously doing something wrong (that would be the MATH) because it doesn't look like a significant savings over 2 rms at a value..... :scratchin

Ok for a 6 night value season stay I see that POR would save me like 338$ over 2 rooms at the POP.....

does that sound right?

At Pop you'd be getting 2 $82 rooms at POR it would be 1 $145 dollar room. Just watch it on the website, it automatically gives you the most expensive tickets and lots of times the more expensive room.

We only booked one room at POR. We still fit there, so do you. Request my building!

I got a $426 difference...

Maybe you had a preferred location at Pop?

Twinkie- I have to get 2 value rooms because POR with ALL of us was way too crowded, one bathroom, etc. But it was just beautiful there! I guess the food court is re-done (or in the process) and the pools are so secluded. The one by the laundry room was all ours! But the Utahns are staying at the POP if you want to be neighbors.

MommyP- Your post count is almost 2345, not that WE dig that kind of thing! ;)
I really love that soundtrack, especially in the car, LOUD! But to "clean" my house it's Queen or Abba!!!

Nab- I go to Walmart for eggs and milk and end up spending $50.00!

Hi Drebert, Kay, and Sandy!

I LOVE Pop, but what made the deciding factor was the pools. I LOVE how POR has so many pools, only the main pool ever has people in it! We always have a blast at the quiet pool, I hate pools so crowded you can't leave your little area. That's how Pop was last time we went in Sept. Plus, I'm not ready to seperate my family into 2 rooms.

Uma and I are going to be fighting over who gets you. LOL!

LY/MI UMA!

Uma - What the heck is 2345? and, what building were you in? I can't remember...we were in 27 last time(16 the first time) and used the pool in between 15, 16, 17 and 27.

Mommy P we stayed in building 16 last time too and love the pool right behind it. Plus it was easy to get to everything. The rooms were refurbished too. Everything was so clean.

Do they tell you when you book where you will be? Or are you requesting it.?

But to "clean" my house it's Queen or Abba!!!

I can picture you now:

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the musics high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
Youre in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

Youre a teaser, you turn em on
Leave them burning and then youre gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
Youre in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

They don't tell you anything. You can make a request and maybe they'll honor it maybe they won't. I think it depends if the CM assigning the rooms is PMSing or not. ;) It's always hit or miss with us. We'll be checking in first thing in the AM though so that way you have a better chance of bargaining for a goog room. I requested 27 again. It was right on the main path around the water, VERY close to the food court!

I NEED HELP!

Okay...someone PLEASE download the Disney Dining Plan brochure for 2007 and e-mail it to me! I can't get it to download off the website.

Jumping in (got lost reading a closed thread in an embarrassing bathroom incident - some people get their panties tied up in a wad over nothin... imho!!)

MommpP I can copy that - where to?

we stayed at POR, in the mansions, loved the quiet pool - everything else seemed too far away - dh liked pop better. so pop HERE WE COME (alth I'm not looking forward to some basic comforts - bigger beds, curtain around the vanity, etc...)
