OOP kids meal for 11 year old "adult" on dining plan

Definately at the character meals - which were also the places where they definately wanted to know the kids' ages - but as to the others, I didn't keep track because it wasn't something we were concerned with.

Thanks. I used the plan in Sept/Oct and was always able to have my DDs share at TS restaurants that WEREN'T buffets/pre-plated and character meals...so your post worried me.

I'd like my VERY picky 6 year old to be able to share with my other DD at restaurants like Tony's, 50's Prime Time, Sci-Fi etc...but your post has me worried now.

No need to worry, it sounds like sharing meals is just fine, but you may not be able to pay OOP for one person's meal, and use credits for the other 3. They can't use a credit for a meal you didn't order!

This makes sense to me too. ::yes::

Yes, I think that sharing remains fine (except at character meals, where they clearly were getting a credit for everybody walking in the door). It's the OOP for only one person (or the kids) that seems to be, occasionally, not allowed. Sorry if I alarmed you!

We just came back from WDW, we were on the dining plan. My DD is 13 and at EVERY table service restaurant, they offered the kids menu without us asking. We only used her table service credits towards the HDDR. The other meals she ordered from the kids menu (which we paid OOP without any problem)or shared. I at one point was considering ordering a kids meal for myself and the waiter said it wasn't a problem at all. Just call me unethical :rotfl2: If there is a "rule", then Disney doesn't enforce it very well, in fact,in my experience, they went out of their way to "break" it.

We had a great time BTW and even with DD ordering kids meals, and sharing, we had way too much food to eat! After the WDW part of our vacation we went on the 7 night Eastern cruise where my DH swears he gained 20lbs!! :scared1:
