OK, I hate Sat. Night Live, but I wasn't paying attention & it came on. Anyhow, it began with the Santa's My Boyfriend song that you all were talking about the other day. YUCK!!!!! Even DH walked in the room long enough to say, "That's just wrong!"

So did you watch long enough to catch "My D*** in a Box"????
You must really hate that one! ;)

LOL.... I have to admit.. I LOL during most of tonights SNL re run. I am a long time SNL fan... have watched it since the start... the Santa bit? Hec, I thought the ladies sang well and it amused me.

'**** in a box? I roared....
Salvation army Santa vs JT Homelessville?.... again I LOL....

Hip Hop kids? clicked to qvc... ;)

I think one of the greatest losses because of the writers strike is the lack of a SNL holiday special. It's one of the true highlights of the season for me. Some of my best Christmas memories have to do with SNL skits.

I didn't actually see the Santa/Boyfriend song last year, but I have to say many, many lols came from me.

SNL seems to strike the right cord with so many people when it comes to the holiday season. They're able to balance their humor with respect for the traditions and memories that so many of us cherish. It's perfect for so many who don't have 'perfect' holiday memories, but cherish them all the same.
For example:
-tonight/last year Justin Timberlake doing the Chipmunks song complete with the inflections and pauses that we all know and love.
-The claymation a few years ago using classic Motown sounds and discussing what 'Christmas time for the Jews' is like.
- The classic Christmas wish segment with Steve Martin...whose wishes get a little out of hand.

Not sure how Schweaty Balls fits into all of that, but it's my alltime favorite.

I actually thought the show was a new one.:lmao:
When I saw the girls singing, I thought, let it to SNL to make that song sexy.
