OOGIE BOOGIE BASH & DESSERT PARTY REVIEWS****SPOILERS

ok, so I wanted to start this thread hoping people will post their thoughts, maps, all pertinent info so I can better plan my visit. For this, I don't care about spoilers FOR ME because I'm just trying to be prepared as best as I can for an event I've never been to.

But I wanted to caution others who might not want to know, hence, the spoiler alert.

I'm mostly confused about the characters...which ones are meet and greet, i.e., you can get a photo with them and which are just "walk by and look". I'm not as interested in those, I guess, except maybe Ernesto, whom I've heard was great. Also Sid, but he's not here now I guess.

So,please, for those of you who have already attended, give me some hints ! And while I will collect candy along the way, it's not a thing. My two most important goals are seeing the Headless Horseman and meeting Chessie.

Also,if anybody has done the Dessert Party for the parade, let's hear from you! I'm still kinda on the line about this...I do have a rezzie but am wavering...

That helps me immensely because I really only want Scarlet Witch and Chessie, maybe Queen of Hearts so I don't need to spend a lot of timecon characters. Already met Red Guardian and he is a hoot....

I'm curious as to why such a focus on Hercules characters?

You might be in luck with your wish next year. I keep thinking Agatha has been around awhile, Avengers Doomsday comes out late next year. Is there a Doctor in the Sanctum?

Doctor Strange is still around, yeah. The shows in the Sanctum were cancelled a while ago. I expect Agatha to go next year too for the reason you state. She and Mim were the "oldest" characters. When Mim disappeared I immediately said we are getting Dr. Doom instead of Agatha next year.

I'm curious as to why such a focus on Hercules characters?

Last year Pain and Panic were ridiculously popular. Line went from not there to stretching to Smokejumpers when they came out. Maybe that is where they took their lead from.

Ernesto was our favorite last year. We got to interact wth him. Amazing!

I've only seen one picture of the area and that one showed an extremely long line, yes.

Dessert Party: Did it last year for first time. Had a night planned with my daughter’s family. First parade. Their children 3 & 7. It was better than expected.

Took them to Carthay Circle for mix in dinner. Did the check in. Our assigned spot turned out to be across from Carsland along the side of the Vacation Club Golden Vine House preview center. Great viewing spot.

Reason I tried it was for convenience and unique experience viewing for the children. (I’m usually just a walk up, get a spot, stand, watch, and go). Not something I’d normally pay this premium for.

Let's hope so! And right now, I am still so SAD that there is NOT a Dr. in the Sanctum since they took away Doctor Strange's show...yep, I'm still whining about that..can't wait for Doomsday to come out...RDJ willbe awesome!

It’s a fantasy based video game series that has Mickey, Goofy and Donald as side characters who support you as you get sucked into various worlds set in Disney/Pixar movies.

I think the official name of the area is "Bountiful Valley Hideaway." Basically take the walkway at Carthay Circle restaurant towards Pixar Pier. Walled area on the left side. I am sure someone can describe it better.

The line is long, yes. Not Sanderson Sisters crazy, but about as long as Bruno during the first craze I'd say.
