Had an enjoyable time at OBB last night (Sunday 10/27). Felt less crowded than the mid September weekday party I did last year. We did Agatha and Ernesto right at 6 with no lines. Hades and Doofenshmirtz were long at the start but shortened considerably after the first parade. We did the Sanderson sisters as the line didn’t look bad. Got in line 6:38 and it took 20 minutes. When I walked by twice later that evening it was even shorter. I think the hype for this photo op is dwindling considerably? We waited maybe 10-15 for Pain and Panic (phones pics only) and the line stayed the same throughout the night (maybe 20 or so people).
We waited for the first parade (7:45) just outside the entrance to Little Mermaid. We got there about 7:30 and were just behind a row of people sitting. The Horseman came through at 7:54 with the parade coming by 8:04. Once the last float came by we quickly turned around and walked to Villains Grove where we walked right in. We went through in maybe 10-15 minutes and as we left the line had grown considerably. Being on the correct side of the street to head there quickly makes a difference.
After that we did all the trails and generally they were very quick, maybe 5 mins at most. The only one that was still a bit lengthy was Sid so we just watched from afar. The CMs gave much more candy than the party I did last year, maybe since only two parties are left. Most have at least two pieces and at least 1-2 per trail would give a full handful throughout the night, and especially in the last hour. It was much more pleasant in the evening in late October than mid September also!
Felt like way more people were staking out and watching the parade than I remembered last year. Both parades were quite busy, you can still roll up last minute if you’re fine being behind a couple people.
