Okay I think the original links shared would have worked! When I got through the queue it takes you to a regular Disney landing page. I had to log in and then revisit the special events page and then it redirected me to the right place to purchase tickets. Trying to go back to special events without logging in is what caused the "already been used" error

It looks like they are out for October 3 and 13. They were temporarily gone for October 6 and 10.

I keep refreshing and different days become unavailable and then I refresh again and they are there. If you don't see your dates available keep refreshing.

Keep refreshing the page until they kick you off. Availability changes every minute.

So once you are in and past the waiting room you can refresh the screen? I would be worried about it kicking me out and having to do the waiting room again, thanks for the info!

Very frustrating but persistence pays off. I joined the waiting room right away and when the timer started it was an hour. It moved pretty quickly and I was able to log in and buy tickets about 40 minutes later. I guess I should just be thankful that went smoothly. But when I selected my date I kept getting a message that it wasn’t available, even though it was showing available. Then it eventually became unavailable. I kept checking and it became available again. But again when I tried it said it was not available. I kept trying until it became unavailable on the calendar. But I kept checking and it became available again and I finally was able to move to the purchase page. Everything from there went smoothly again. It took me about 40 minutes of trying to purchase a date that showed as available until I could actually purchase. My advice would be if you want a specific date be persistent and don’t give up.

We are trying to plan our first visit to DL and will be trying for OBB tickets tomorrow. I know chances are limited, but I am going to try. I have been following this thread and appreciate all of the tips about the waiting room and purchase process. I do have a DL account and was wondering if once you are redirected to the website to purchase tickets if there will be a purchase button where I currently see the "coming soon" box on the OBB special events page. Thanks so much!

I attempted the waiting room & queues today just to practice for tomorrow so I could be familiar with the whole process. My attempt on my computer was the faster wait time and was ready in about 40 minutes. My phone had about a 15 minute longer wait. I got a little nervous because we're there the last week in August and would prefer Thursday the 29th as our first choice followed by Tues the 27th as #2 and Sun the 25th as 3rd choice. By the time my turn came up on my phone the 29th and 25th were both noted as "limited" availability which made me nervous for tomorrow's queue if I don't get in fast enough. But I'm vey glad I practiced the process.

I don't remember which exact page but when it was my turn and I was redirected, I ended up on a DL landing page with a video at the top. Not sure if it was special events or not since I can't see that page anymore. But I logged in from there, and then I think I was on the special events page where Oogie Boogie was listed and buying/selecting tickets was a button. I would recommend not being logged in, honestly. I saw lots of issues coming from people that were already logged in, and it seems if you are already logged in you may have to log out and log back in anyways. If you don't end up on the right page after logging in I would go back to the special events page (have the link saved somewhere so you can easily copy/paste: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/admission/events/

It appears they did not use a waiting room and people were generally sorted based on when they entered the queue, even though it didn't "open" with projected wait times until 9. So I would have the special events link ready and be checking it constantly a bit before 8:45. I found that refreshing the link didn't work for me, I had to paste in the link into the address bar and hit enter to get the "correct" queue, as mine was still showing the queue closed from the Imagine Key sale when just refreshing it.

For anyone not participating today but planning to tomorrow, here's the new blurb from the queue page:

Tickets for the general public go on sale on June 27, 2024. The queue will open at approximately 8:45 AM Pacific Time with sales starting no earlier than 9:00 AM Pacific Time.

So no Waiting Room, apparently. Probably a good idea to be ready at 8:30am.

So based on today, have all your browser windows ready by 8:30am PT and the website may let you right into the queue vs sit in the waiting room to get to the queue at 9:00am PT?
