So today, in Markham, the mercury hit 34 degrees!!!

I have a weather app on my iphone which is configured for Home, as well as Disney.. and it was only 28 degrees at Disney!!

I am so glad i can get used to the heat before we head down... but WOW.. i hope everyone is comfortable!!!

I kid you not, we have not had our air conditioner on yet this year! (Ok, I'm a cheap dutchman (Go Netherlands!) and I want to save more for Disney).
I will break down on Wednesday as we have a meeting here. As much as I can tolerate the heat, an air conditioned home is more welcoming. I'll finally be able to test out the A/C for the summer!

My hubby grew up in Guelph so he knows the heat and humidity well. It drives him crazy to hear me and my west coast pals whining about how hot and humid it gets here. He says "You have no idea!" Then proceeds to tell us about laying in bed at night, 2 am, with the sweat rolling off him, not sleeping a wink and having to be at work at 5 am. :crazy2:When he golfs he loves to tork up the golfers by wearing his black pants and black golf shirt on a day when it's ~30c. It's some kind of sick mind game!

On that note, our "heat wave" starts this week. Finally, summer!:sunny:

Ugh! I'm not liking the heat at all -- the humidex reading hit 46 here today.

"Here" is probably Toronto (or the GTA) i pulled out my humi-meter and set it on my back porch.. at 7 pm, it was 29 degrees and 57% humidity... blah..

(inside it was 25 and 30% humidity, not TOO cool.. but like a fridge compared to outside)..

WOOHOO I am LOVING this weather:banana::banana::banana:

I love the heat and all winter I complain about the cold so no way I am complaining about the heat;) Bring it on because we will all be use to it for our August WDW trip ;)

it is 7:20 am, and 31 degress with a 56% relative humidity... (thats about 39 humidex) today is going to be a scorcher!!!

Where is 'here'? It does not say in your profile to the left.

Yes, sorry, I'm intentionally a bit vague. I'm in Ontario, but, north of the region that expects this much heat and humidity every year.

I don't mind heat but this is just silly. Mother nature is getting back at all of us that complained about the cold summer last year!!!

But, I didn't complain last year! In fact, I frequently commented on how much I was enjoying the summer last year! Could we just make it stop in a little bubble around me?

it's OWIE outside!! <-- DD 10 :)

This temp was taken on my back deck. The Thermometor/Hygrometer is calibrated to my inside thermostat. ANd for the US folks that stumble across, this is 105 F.

If I had a pool, I'd love this weather.

Dd has an intensive soccer camp this week. The coach called yesterday and offered to refund part of my money if she could come half days instead because the kids are too worn out from the heat and activity by noon to do anymore. We are in a small town in Southern Ontario and it's been hot since Saturday, hot hot since Sunday. I told ds that, if it gets hot enough today, they can try and cook an egg on the driveway.

Hey, that's a good idea! Maybe I should look up recipes...if I cook dinner in the driveway, maybe the heat will seem more interesting.

WOW!! I'm very lucky that we chose this week to be at the cottage (Kawarthas). It's been breezy during the day, so not too bad. However, at night the wind drops and it has been horribly hot. So, sleeping hasn't been going so well.

I'm in Ottawa and it's bad here too. My friend has a pool and he pretty much got burned all over as opposed to cooling off! Not very effective... :/

We have a cottage in the Kawarthas as well (just off of Lake Chandos north of Appsley south of Coe Hill) .. it is HOT HOT HOT and the black flies are paying the price :)

Tried turning on the A/C for the first time this year on Saturday...no cool air, in fact no air at all. The lines were frozen up shortly thereafter. We hope to see the repairman sometime tomorrow afternoon as that was the earliest we could secure. Our thermostat is reading 30.8 right now and it was definitely even warmer in the house earlier. Not very conducive to sleeping. We avoid turning it on, however this is just too hot! We've been keeping sane by visiting my mum's every day for a swim.

Try to stay cool my friends!
