I know a couple going to Florida for thier Honeymoon but they only have time to go to one park for a day. They are in their mid- twenties, which park would you recommend and why?

Was the start of it all and I feel the magic of Disney more in MK than anyplace else in WDW.::yes:: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :wave2:

Magic Kingdom, hands down! If they've never been before I can't imagine going to any other park! Dinner in Cinderella's Castle, then Wishes fireworks to end their day would be simply perfect!

Magic Kingdom will by far have the most for them to do that will interest their age group.

They will enjoy "Space Mountain," "Splash Mountain," "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad," "Haunted Mansion" just to name a few. They will also have a great selection of restaurants, not to mention a great evening fireworks show.:earsboy:

If they have never been to any of the parks then I would say the Magic Kingdom! It is where is all begins! :Pinkbounc

:cheer2: Magic Kingdom :cheer2:

This is where all the magic is - and a little magic is always wonderful when you are on your honeymoon.

I guess I'm strange, but I'm going to say EPCOT. Something about spending a honeymoon or anniversary in 11 different countries, just really does it for me. :cloud9: :happy2:
I know that MK is where it all started, but for a honeymoon, there is just something special and unique about walking around the world showcases with the one you love. :love2: DH and I spend our anniversary in EPCOT when we visit Disney. May 22nd is ALWAYS reserved for a visit to EPCOT and the world showcases. We spend the day in future world and then head over to the world showcases when they open and spend a couple of hours there. After lunch we head back to the resort and rest and then go right back to EPCOT in the evening for that lovely walk through the showcases at night while waiting for Illuminations!!! :thewave:

If they are on their honeymoon, I would suggest Epcot.

I would say it depends a bit on their personalities, and the time of year they're going. We spent most of our honeymoon at MK (I'm also in my mid-twenties), but then I love all things MK. :)

However, we also went at a time of year when most kids were still in school, so it was relatively uncrowded and little-kid 'free'. A busy Magic Kingdom with lots of tired out little kids doesn't say 'honeymoon magic' to me. LOL. If they were going in the summer, I'd probably vote for Epcot too, because of this factor.

On the other hand, I have friends (also mid-twenties) who disliked Epcot on their honeymoon because they found it 'too passive'. Their favorite was MGM because of the rides.

Different strokes, I guess. :)

(On a related note, encourage them to get the bride and groom ear hats. Those were great!)

Well, I just can't pick a park. If it were me and they can afford a park hopper, I'd park at the transportation center, take the bus to MGM, and start the day upon opening at MGM and do TOT, RNR and Muppets 3-D, then I'd take the boat over to EPCOT, walk around the countries, have a nice lunch at one of the countries, or "tastes" of food here and there, THEN I'd take the monorail over to Magic Kingdom, eat dinner at the castle and end the day with Spectromagic and Wishes, riding Space Mountain, Splash Mountain etc. in the evening when lines are shorter. MGM for the thrill rides, EPCOT because it IS romantic just walking around the countries and having a quiet lunch, and MK because, well, that's the magic part!!! And SO romantic. I just can't pick one!!! :teeth:

Start early, stay late, and do all three. Let them know they're coming. DW might take into consideration their situation. If they're staying in a disney resort or hotel that night they can take advantage of the early opening. If it passes the test there's also the extra evening hours. And they may even get lucky enough to have an E-ticket night, although I hear that's been discontinued indefinitely.

I don't think there is such a thing as a one day park hopper, but they can get a three day one park per day and burn it up, or if they think they'll be back again get a 4 day park hopper and save the other three days.

From the TTC they can take a paddle boat to MK, monorail from MK to Epcot (via TTC), and then take another boat from Epcot to MGM. You should be able to catch a bus back to TTC from MGM.

Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table or the Crystal Pallace if they like Pooh, lunch in one of the countries of Epcot (they each have their own lillte special flare), and dinner at the Hollywood Brown Derby followed by Fantasmic.

In theory they should be able to hit at least two major attractions per park in the busy season. If they are there in the off season they should be able to do much much more. And if they're in thier mid twenties they should have the energy to run this marathon.

Depending on what time of year and what day of the week they will be there Eeyore2003's plan might work out better.
