I have relatives in both places. My grandmother lived in Grenada almost all of her life and we were up there constantly while I was growing up. It's funny what you remember as a kid, because I always remember the way Grenada SMELLED. Maybe it was the hosiery mill that I was smelling, but I can still remember that smell and it always takes me back there in my mind.
DMIL lives in Florence, right outside of Jackson. Needless to say, we are up there quite a bit too. We are as far south as you can get in Mississippi without being in the Gulf. Yep, Coast Brats here. It's not very often that I run into someone on the DIS with MS roots, so I was just curious.
I think I was up too late last night, gonna run take a quick nap before the Superbowl. We usually host a Superbowl party every year, but this year our friends offered to host it at their place.

Anybody else going to a Superbowl party? Who ya rootin' for? I really don't care one way or the other. I will be watching our office pool for the scores though. I don't know what it's called, but we draw 100 squares, everyone fills them in with their names and then we draw numbers and assign them to the squares. Then during the game, the person who has the square that correlates with the last number in the score for that quarter wins a jackpot that has been split 4 ways. We all put in 5 bucks per square and the boss always pitches in a LOT more than anybody else. This year the amount ended up being $325 per quarter. DH and I have been pretty lucky in the past and have usually won at least one quarter every year. We'll see if our luck continues this year.

Have a good day, everybody!
