only one day at disneyland..best approach

hi all,

I've a day for Disneyland this weekend.
my plan is as below:
get there 15mins early around 7:45am

1. once enter get FP for fantasmic & hypersonic
2. go for Peterpan
3. go for mountain rail
4. might be hypersonic window open then FP for other 2nd ride
5. hypersonic ride
6. other small rides like small world
7. 2nd ride with FP maybe autopia
8. head back to hotel around 2pm..
9. return around 5:30pm..
10. watch some shows...
11. left over rides.

inbetween meet mickey house, goofy house...

is it possible or is it right plan y'all think...
any suggestion greatly appreciated.taking 4yrs old kid...

2 skip peter pan, wait will be over 40-60 mins.

3. your 4 year old kid been on those roller coasters before?

he has been to other small roller coaster before...seems he can do mountain railroad...he luvs rollercoaster...show him video he is excited

you mean fastpass for hyper should open 10am..or the window will be around that time ??
maybe will do mountain railroad, autopia...peter pan will c at the end of the day...i guess ???

PP is telling you likely when the window will be open on your FP, but Hyperspace Mt FPs will run out about noon. When I was there this past Saturday, the return time was already 10:50 to 11:50pm at 11:30am.
F! Fps can be grabbed whenever you are in the area near BTR.
What is mountain rail? Are you referring to Big Thunder Mtn Railroad? If you head over there after grabbing your Hyperspace Mt FP, the wait should be low. Try and hit IASW early too. Their lines have been 30-40 minutes throughout the day.

I would switch your days. Early entry makes a big difference, and you don't want to be fighting it. I would also definitely recommend being there a good half hour earlier than you're currently planning. My strategy would be to make a beeline for PP if you plan to ride rather than getting FPs for anything else. Lines won't be any shorter all day, but, in the time it takes you to detour to grab a FP for something else, the PP line will grow to 40 minutes long. You can grab an FP for something else after that.

Trying to beat early entry folks isn't going to be possible this weekend because Disney kicks it up to full-on holiday crowds starting this weekend and will be offering early entry to both parks every day, so pick the park you want to visit on each day and don't worry about early entry people. Also, don't waste a lot of time trying to figure out which day will be less crowded. Just expect crazy-crowded for both and go with it.

It's likely that they will start letting people into the parks before official opening time and hold them for a rope drop. You will want to try to be in the park before opening if at all possible.

Unless Peter Pan is a very important ride to you, I would skip it. Line will already be 30-50 minutes by the time you get to the ride. If you are determined to ride Peter Pan, ride it later in the day rather than wasting valuable early morning time on it.

You've got a couple options with Hyperspace Mountain. You can either grab the fastpass first thing and then ride it when your window opens up or grab a fastpass for Star Tours first. Then when the Star Tours window opens, go grab a fastpass for Space Mountain and then ride Star Tours. If you get the Star Tours fastpass first, that Space Mountain fastpass will likely not be usable until late afternoon or evening though, so take that into consideration when making your choice.

Regardless of which fastpass you choose, you should definitely be able to get a few rides done while you wait. Alice in Wonderland might still be a low wait if you hit it right after grabbing your fastpass. Alternatively, if you head across the park you will probably be able to ride Big Thunder Mountain and/or Haunted Mansion Holiday with relatively low waits.

I think fastpass for Autopia has been discontinued.

There is fastpass for Buzz Lightyear and it's off-network so it doesn't stop you from getting a fastpass for something else at the same time. A good time to grab the Buzz fastpass is just after you get your Star Tours fastpass since the Buzz machine is right at the end of the line-up of Star Tours fastpass machines.

Extra magic hour is listed for both parks for both Saturday and Sunday. That means that onsite hotel guests can choose which park to visit for the 7 AM early entry period. Magic morning is listed for Disneyland for both Saturday and Sunday. One magic morning is available to each guest with a 3-day or longer ticket whether they stay onsite or not. So both parks will be open for early entry guests both days of this weekend. There is no advantage for the non-early entry guest at either park either day. Yes, early entry guests will be let in at 7 AM. Possibly as early as 7:30 AM or 7:45 AM, guests who don't have access to either magic morning or extra magic hour will start being allowed into the park. Those people though will be held at a rope and not allowed access to rides or attractions until the official 8 AM opening time.

All annual pass holders below the signature level will be blocked out for both days of the weekend and the rest of the holiday season until New Year's. There will be plenty of people visiting the parks without the rest of the annual pass population there. Expect large crowds. With a plan and good use of fastpass, you can still get a lot out of each day.

since i'm driving from north cali...& getting late at nite on fri...mind as well head to cali adventure on saturday..

my preference rides are: Hypersonic mtn, big thunder, autopia, small world,
any other you can add on that i miss...

then just some small rides for my kid..here and there and let him enjoy ....fantasmic, parade...

Nope, I really was talking about It's a Small World. The line gets kind of crazy for that one when it's holiday time. I've seen waits of 60 minutes for Small World during the peak holiday times in November and December.

Ah, yes, I see. I agree there may not be as much for a 4-year old to do at DCA so not as damaging to the itinerary to start a little late there. You will want to grab your Radiator Springs Racers fastpass early at DCA. At very busy times, they still do run out for the day by noon.

coming in late on Friday makes for DCA on Saturday is the best choice and Disneyland, very bright and early on Sunday. Dca will be more relaxing, large walkways, less stress in FP strategy . DCA is more kid friendly with attractions at the age of your child, Bugs land, monsters, pier attractions, mermaid, Crush and building Grizzly area, I think DCA has more to offer your age group then disneyland in a less stressful environment

that's what i figure DCA to head on saturday in relax manner only at first to grab radiator springs FP and later aladdin and world of color...
then run around for sunday @ disneyland FP
