I contend that because of the 50 year contract at SSR, there is only one best choice for anyone who is less than 35 or 40 years old!
I own 500 points at OKW and VB. I am 58 years old. When I bought in 1992, I was 47, and 2042 seemed to be plenty far enough into the future that it did not seem much different from buying outright. I will get to use it until I die and will be able to pass it on.
However, if I were 47 now, I would definitely and only buy SSR! I would not want to be able to imagine a time when I could no longer use DVC!

but if I was buying now, I would still buy BWV. That is where I want to stay most, we love the location near Epcot & MGM. We stay there in early Dec, which is hard to get at 7 months. We also like OKW because of the bigger rooms and you can park right outside. SSR does not have any of these plusses, I doubt I will stay there. The increased time would be when I'm 82 to 94, not a big concern now. I agree it's a consideration for the younger buyer but not the only one.
