2) People will tell you to sell your blood to pay for your Disney trip

3) People will complain about the high cost of cable, yet not even bat an eye at an over $200/month cellphone bill

4) People put some really crazy stuff on layaway

Not blood I have considered dh's kidney. I mean that one kid got an Ipad I can get a decent vacation for one right.

I fully expect to hear more honest feedback here than I would from anywhere else I go, in person or on the internet. And it's for that reason that there are some things I will never post here, and other things that I will post here for exactly that - to get a good range of feedback that I know isn't catering to just what I want to hear. That might mean I don't like some of what's posted, but that's the risk you take...

That suggestion comes up often over there and no matter how many times I see it I still go . I know getting to Disney is important to some folks but selling bodily fluids to fund it?

I've seen the selling plasma posts before but this was the first time I'd seen that one suggested. I thought it was a joke but then another poster agreed.

Actually, I think the Dis IS like any community. The difference is that in your community there are folks you like and then there's the 80% of folks you either have nothing in common with or for whatever reason you never communicate with them.

Here you don't have a choice. You never talk to that nutty cat lady down the street, but on this board the nutty cat lady posts on every thread you read.

The 2 faced, talk behind your back guy who lives 2 streets over has been crossed of your list of people you want to see or talk to, but on the Dis he's there every time you turn around.

This is a community, it just works a little differently.

I love how The Dis is full of postings directing people to Undercover Tourist or other wholesale ticket sellers for what in most cases amounts to little more than a couple of dollars per day less than buying admission directly from Disney because "every little bit helps", but is also full of postings from people who tell other people considering parking at DTD for free and taking a bus to parks that "if they can't afford the $15 per day parking fee, maybe they should re-think their Disney vacation".

And no, I'm not looking to start a debate about parking at DTD to avoid the parking fees.
