Short short trip this time, & I am coming a day later than rest of family. I will have only 2 full days.

One part of me says to not concentrate on parks for a change(have been to wdw many times ) and just enjoy the resorts and restaurants, and another part of me wants to get up early and go to end of time.
DH & kids flying in tmrw, and I cannot get their till following evening due to work constraints.
what would you do?

staying at POR if that helps. do not have a car this time

I'd be Park Hopping. That's what I've always done on short trips. Even tho I'm no longer commando, I couldn't be in WDW without doing certain attractions. On short trips, I usually skip AK, but hit MK, Epcot & MGM for my favorites.

You have to do what you like tho. Sounds like you've been before & will go again - so there's really no pressure to "do it all".

I'd spend a full day at Epcot taking the park at a very slow pace and enjoying the beauty of it all. Then I'd spend a day doing things like Boggy Creek Airboats, Orlando Premium Outlets and maybe Sleuths for dinner (or Tschop Chop, depending on how wicked I feel with my credit card).

I would definitely park hop. If you do your homework, you can plan ahead and got a lot in! Going to WDW just isn't the same without going on your favorite attractions. If I were you, I would wait to do the resport hopping on a longer trip!

Last year was our first trip to WDW. We only had 2 full days for the parks and managed to get a little bit of them all in! We got a 2 day park hopper ticket ... here's what we did.

Got to MK the first day at opening. Went straight to the Haunted Mansion, Phillarmagic and a few small rides around there, teacups, Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain and then caught Cinderella's Surprise Celebration.

Then, we took the monorail to Epcot and did Mission Space (twice), Test Track, Honey I Shrunk the Audience and walked around the World Showcase. We left before Illuminations started and rested our VERY WEARY feet in the hot tub back at CBR.

Second day, we went to AK in the morning and went straight to the Safari, Festival of the Lion King, Tarzan Rocks, (wanted to do Dinosaur but it was closed), It's Tough to be a bug and then headed over to MGM.

At MGM, we went on the Great Movie Ride, Muppet's 3D, Indiana Jones, Parade, Osborne Festival of Lights, Dinner at Sci Fi and then to Fantasmic. After getting back to the hotel we visited Pleasure Island.

It seems pretty busy but we were actually really relaxed doing it and had a great time... but we are going back to spend more time doing everything this time!

I hope that gives you a little bit of an idea of what is possible!

When DW and I went 4 years ago we had 2 days together and did all 4 parks. Day 1 was Epcot in the am and MK in the afternoon. Got to Epcot about 930 and stayed till about 230 or so. Rode Test Track, walked through all the countries (including lunch in Germany and a Guinniss in Great Brittian) also went to Living Seas and a few other places. At MK, got there for the end of the parade, did Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Its a small world, waited in line for almost an hour to meet Mickey Mouse and also did a few other things. Stayed till the park closed and saw Wishes.

Day 2 was AK in the morning, went right to Safari, also did Bugs Life, Rapids, Dinosaur ride, Lion King show and a few others. In the afternoon went to MGM, saw Indiana Jones, Drew Carey sound thing, Star Tours, Aerosmith, Tower of Terror and ended the day with Fantasmic.

They were both long days, but I don't remember feeling rushed at all. We were lucky because things weren't really busy. It was the end of one of the April School vacation weeks. (a fri and a Sat). It was a great time too.

This is exactly what I would do if I had only two days, that way you get the best of everything. I have never gone to Pleasure Island though.

thanks guys!! just got off phone with family. They went to DD and ate at rainforest... Have room in bldg 80 in POR. Luckily, DH got my card in advance for me.

He said check in was about 30=40 minutes. took magic bus service.Said was good but said that having your own car does make a difference.

Getting in tmrw evening. I plan on hopefully taking boat to DD and eating. getting up Wednesday. spending 3/4 day in Epcot enjoying F&W festival. Then buzzing over to MK to do my favorites:Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan, Philarmonic and just walking around till park closes,.

Thursday, on to MGM, lunch at Sci Fi and then meeting up with friends at BW.
