I was wondering if anybody knows why dvc only allows you to book nights or less at a time. I know for our 10 nights we have to make two reservations. I could see a14 night limit but 7 seems low.
I was wondering the same thing. We were able to call and make reservations for an 8 night stay, after we bought at VGF in December, for a trip in early October and i was shocked we were allowed to.
I believe it all has to do with your booking window. If you book exactly 11 months out you can only book 7 days I believe. However if you are booking at say 9 months at a home resort you would be able to book as many nights as you desire.
I believe this is how it works but there are surely more knowledgeable people than I on these boards and hopefully they will weigh in.

unless it's a really busy time, wait 3 days and book all 10 nights at once.
december is a busy time, though, so you probably did the right thing.
DVC used to allow you to book based on check-out date (with no online booking)...in which case you would have had to call 10 days in a row (more or less) to book a tough reservation.
[fogey]these new kids don't know how good they got it...[/fogey]

You could only book all 10 days if you book 3 days AFTER your 7 month window opens which is not recommended because you could get shut out of those first 3 days.
