Online reservations over 7 days

If you want ten nights at your home resort how do you make the reservation online?
Do you make the 7 nights then add on day by day or does make just as much sense to make the 7 then wait 3 days and finish?

I must say I'm looking forward to trying the online system but haven't found much info about it such as the question I'm asking.

You can make the reservation online for the first 7 nights. But so far, we cannot modify a reservation online, which is what has to happen to get more than 7 nights.

To get the last 3 nights, you have to wait until the 7 month window opens for the last 3 nights you want and then call MS to link the 2 reservations.

OR (and this is what I would do), call MS the following day to add the 8th night and then call the next day to add the 9th night and etc. until you have what you need.

Do you know if I could just keep it simple and wait a few days and just make another reservation for the final 3 nights and later on call MS and have the two ressies linked?

That's what I would do. I would just email MS to link the two reservations.

And that is exactly what I ended up doing! Easy peasy....I just thought there might be more to it than that. Lol I did end up waiting the full amt of extra days I wanted so I only had to call once. Worked great and it's all on the same original reservation number.

Woo! I'm going to Disneyworld! Lol

You'd have to actually wait 7 days for it to work this way, because you'd have to wait for the 7-month point from the 8th day of your vacation. You'd only have to wait 3 days if you called and asked them to add the additional nights. (Or make 3 calls and add one day at a time.)

The 7-night booking restriction only applies if you're booking right at the beginning of the booking window. If you're concerned about losing the room because you travel during a popular time, you'd need to use one of the methods already discussed. If, however, you're just looking for the easiest way to do an online booking for a 10-night stay, wait 3 days and do your online booking 7 months from the 4th day of your stay. You'd then be able to book the entire 10 days at once. Like I said, though, waiting these 3 days could effect the availability of the exact resort and room you're looking for.
