if we do online check in do we still have to go to our resort before heading to the parks? or can we just go to the park and worry about the hotel later?

You can go to the parks but you will need to show the parking lot toll booth person your confirmation otherwise you will have to pay $15 to park. You won't get your parking pass till you go to the resort.

If you have the dining plan you will need to go to the resort first to activate your dining credits.

I need to piggyback a question here... when you arrive at the resort, is the online check-in line with a CM or is it by kiosk?

I haven't been in years and my husband has never been, so I know we'd like the option to speak with someone at arrival in case we have questions. We are staying at BWV. Thanks in advance!

If you have done online check in from home then when you arrive at the resort you will get in the line for folks who have already done "Online" check in. You will be assisted by a CM. There are no check in kiosk at Disney.

Nothing is linked to the magic band itself. Everything is linked to your MDE account. The magic band is one way too access that information. is the same as using a card previously.... the bracelets ate just a bracelet that accesses your Disney account.
