online check in

Has anyone else experienced this problem?We're now 8 days from our trip to AKL ,it's a split stay july5-8 and then 8-10.when i go to the member site it's wants me to do online check in but when i try to o it i get bounced out. Is it because i'm not not within 10 days of the second half of the trip. No one @ disney can give a strsight answer

The problem is due to the split stay. Because of the split, you can't use on-line check-in.

Split stays don't work with online check in. Maybe some day but not now. It's really no big deal, I feel that you get better service and a better chance of getting your request when you don't use it!

Disney and IT is an oxymoron. It only took them about seven years to figure out how DVC members could do on-line check-in. You will have to give them another seven years to figure out how we can do it with split stays. I suspect July 5 will not be much different from other busy times of year and you will likely not have a long line for check-in.

I'm surprised to here that no one could tell you that at MS. The CM knew right away when I called on our trip earlier this month.

We had problems booking ADRs too, we couldn't make them until the last segment was 180 days out.

We had three segments. We had a family gathering and we arrived before the group and stayed after. We did not get a bill on our door on check out day for segments one and two. After we checked in on segment three at VWL, we thought everything was fine. At dinner that night at the Brown Derby my DH's KTTW card was denied for charging even though it said charging was permitted. DH had actually used the card for paying for lunch, so we were really confused that it was suddenly denied. The wait staff at BD was familiar with these problems with segmenting on DVC stays and they called our resort confirmed I was the primary and since I was dining too they could use my KTTW card number to charge the meal. It turns out that when they closed the account for our guests at AKV later in the afternoon it also eliminated everyone that was in that was on the reservation except for the primary (me). DH had to go back to check in when we got to WL and have another card made out. I returned to the villa but they called me to confirm that he was supposed to be a guest in the room before they cut his card. Everything worked fine after that.
