Online Check-In question

Our window to start the online check-in process opens March 10th. Do we need to have all info complete before they allow us to choose a port arrival time? We are traveling with a group consisting of 5 staterooms. If some of us complete all the info right away, but others don't, will they have to wait to pick an arrival time? Or can we pick an arrival for all people, and then they can complete the rest of the info at their leisure?

You cannot pick a PAT until the other information is complete. So no, the staterooms that don't complete their check in cannot pick a port arrival time, nor can you pick one for them.

That being said, if they (or someone doing it for them) check in selecting cash payment and put dummy information into the section where it asks what you will be using for id (Passport #, etc.), you can select a PAT and then go back at a later date and update that information.

If you are concerned about quickly booking a hard to get activity or PAT, I would recommend what the previous poster said. Quickly put in minimal dummy gibberish to get to the selecting PAT and reserving activities sections. Then you can go back at your leisure and update your info with the proper data.

I did this for our first cruise bc we were eager to get similar times for princess gatherings, etc. as our silver status friends. Not sure if going more slowly and properly inputting the info the first time would have mattered, but it was easy to do this shortcut.

If you are interested in getting an early PAT, do not panic and take your time. You could even select your activities first without affecting your boarding group.

Looks like most of DCL guests do not care about getting an early PAT.
