Online Check-In problem

while checking in online i cannot select a room preference. when i click on the arrow no options appear just "select". Upper floor,etc do not appear. is this a glitch or are you no longer able to make a preference. guess i have to call
 
We don't use online check in, but my understanding is that if you choose anything in the room preference boxes, it will wipe out any other request you may have made. And the options for room views, etc are not good in the online check in form as you have found out.

As @disneynutz indicated, for room requests it is best to just email MS or call them if you prefer a live voice.
 
If the system is showing no preferences, then likely there is a system glitch. There is nothing I am aware of that did away with the room preferences section for the resorts.
 

All I can suggest?

"Online" Room preferences have been dead broken since 2016. CALL, and ignore this online fake.
 
I was trying to use online checkin and it won’t let me add my credit card. I’ve tried 2 different ones and he tried to check in too. I like getting a text when my room is ready and I can’t complete it without the cc. Ugh.
 
My online checking for last week didn't work. It appeared that everything was OK. The screen showed, "You're all set," or something to that effect.

When we arrived at SSR, I couldn't use my MagicBand to buy lunch. The CM told me that it did not have an associated credit card.

A visit to the front desk revealed the issue: online checkin did not complete. The CM clicked a few buttons and -- voila -- checkin was completed. I instantly got a text with my room number.

Disney's computer systems rarely work as they should. FastPass is probably the smoothest working system Disney has.

After our trip last week, I've decided I won't do online checkin again. Two years in a row we've had trouble using our credit card (linked to our magic bands) while at BLT. Both trips were split resort stays, absolutely no problem at SSR. But while at BLT, we find out our credit card is not on file. ??? Even more embarassing, when we went to pay our tab at TOTW, after first trying our magic band, we gave the server our credit card - and she came back telling us it was declined. Our card was fine - it's their system that's the problem.

Thanks for the warning! I don't remember being able to make any preferences, select time of arrival, virtually nothing. Yet, my MDE also says "You're all set!" in green. Now I know a possible glitch when I get there.
 
Does SSR read request by faxes? I have had success in the past with TPlans fax service.
