Traveling as a large group --- about 16 people

Book through WDW so you are all in the same "block". There are stairs on the second and third floors so make note if that is an issue with anyone.
Even booking all the rooms at the same time will NOT guarantee they are near each other. They could well be on different floors if not entirely different buildings.

We only stayed in a Value in 1996 and then bought DVC on that trip! There were no elevators or coffee makers on that trip. Great to have an update!
Are you sure you stayed at an All Star resort? It would have been either Sports or Music in '96 because Movies hadn't opened yet (neither had POP or AoA). But all the value resorts were were built with elevators, not added later. Possibly you stayed at a moderate -- CBR or POR? CBR does not have elevators in any buildings; the Bayou rooms at POR do not have elevators though the Mansion buildings do.

There are no guarantees for sure.

It was likely Sports. We were thrilled to buy DVC during that stay! In 1996, DVC credited us for the stay, paid closing costs and gave us two years points with (I think) no charge for MF's. We never went back to a Value, however, I think Values are great for many people, just not for us. The only Mod we ever stayed in were the cabins at The Fort, when they were actually priced moderately.

All Star Sports has always had elevators. Maybe you just didn't see them because they are in the center of the buildings.

If it's out that they can see, that's fine.

Asking questions...unless it's general information the CMs back there may not know specifics. It's not the vets or vet techs that are generally outside the surgery window. I'm just trying to help you set expectations and tasks that can be accomplished.
You would be surprised with what the CMs know. I have asked questions and gotten very detailed answers back.

Thank you and I will keep that in mind as we make up the tasks for them to "find"

I have no idea if you can arrange to talk with a vet or at least a vet technician. Ask nicely when you get to the AK. Make sure they get the impression you're looking to learn and not to teach.

Not sure if this is helpful - maybe consider purchasing a Disney gift card for each employee to cover the cost of lunch? That way they can just order when they arrive at your chosen QS or mobile order on their own so you don’t have to manage one large order? I would think a $25 card would cover a QS meal.

This is a great reward! I might suggest you reach out to Disney to see if you can speak to someone in Group Reservations. They *may* be able to help with a block of rooms and possibly even a discounted rate, though I am not sure that is still offered. However, there may be already discounted rooms available for your dates. You would need to book at minimum 10 rooms (which it sounds like you would). A number to try is 407-939-1942. And when you go up to Rafiki's Planet Watch, there is usually a CM stationed at the windows around the procedure room. Talk to that person and tell them who you all are. They may be able to go backstage and find a tech or even a vet to talk to you. No guarantees, but it won't hurt to ask (I was a manager at DAK at one point in my career and worked closely with the Animal Care team).
