Online check in, good idea?

We will be at WDW Dec8-13 staying at POP. We land at 1:30pm. I figure we should be at the resort around 2:30 or so. Should we do online check in before we go? It is just DH and me. We are not real picky about the room location. What are the reasons you would not use online check it? Has it worked well for those who have used it?

We have done it the past couple years and it has worked well for us. Quick interaction at the desk and have been lucky and had the room ready early in the day as well. (we typically arrive around 9:00AM)
 
All I can say is that as long as Disney has offered on-line check-in, we have used it. I really don't understand why people have such an issue deciding whether to do it or not. For us, it makes the vacation seem that much closer.

We have found no reason NOT to do it, so I can't offer advice against it. :goodvibes
 
We always do it. I don't understand the debate. It saves time at check in. You can also make room requests. I was able to on request upper floor full balcony at bc next month.
 

Do it. Had our requests honored and our room was ready at 10:30 am for us to check into. This was mid June.

I agree. The earlier you get your request t the front desk the better. It is a win win situation
 
If I have made room requests and do online check-in and do not receive any of my requests, what happens? Can I call and make changes to my assigned room? :confused:
 
I always use online checkin and once I didn't get my preferred building. I just asked the cm who gave me my file and they just switched me and gave me new keys. It was easy!
 
Love online check in! Usually no waiting when you check in, & process is speedy quick. Go for it!!:cool1:

We always do online check in. When we booked THV we asked to be located near the boat docks. They had us at the far end, which is not convenient when you don't have a car. I explained this to the CM and asked politely if there was any way he could get it switched. He worked on it for about 5 minutes and was able to remedy the issue if we were willing to wait an hour for the room. We thanked him and got what we wanted.
 
Thanks for all the information. We have never done online check in because we were afraid we wouldn't get our requests, but we might give it a go this year! :thumbsup2
