I’m hoping someone who has already checked in for a 2019 Star Wars Day at Sea could help me with what options there may be to book SW character meets, etc. Are these listed in a separate area under activities?
Thanks!

Meet and greet and other SWDAS activities will be listed under Onboard Fun

Yes, they are listed under Onboard Fun. Jedi Training is on the SWDAS, but the ticketed Star Wars character experiences are available on multiple days.

I checked in a few weeks ago for our Jan 12, SWDAS cruise. We are silver and I did our check in at midnight. I don't know about other SW cruises, but all of the
SW character meet and greets and the Jedi training for kids were all taken except for the ones that are offered on the SW day. I was changing some things that I booked today and saw that there are still openings for all of the SW stuff on the SW day still, while all other days are still booked up. 71 days until my cruise, so newbies have all checked in also. Depending on your level, don't be surprised if most days are already full, but at least on our cruise it looks like there are still openings for everything. This is our second SW cruise so we don't really care if we see the characters or not, plus we also have another Fantasy cruised booked for Jan 2020.

Where is Onboard Fun? Is that not available to see until after your booking window opens?
I can check in and start booking this weekend. Do I have to fill out my online check in or can I just start booking character meets right away? I am so confused about the SWDAS character greets I was reading a previous thread about not being able to sign up due to all slots being full. That just seems crazy. I want to take advantage of having a scheduled time and not waiting in crazy lines or walking around hoping to stumble upon a character. Our previous cruise I felt like so much time was waiting in lines for princesses hoping to skip the long lines. It has been a few years since we cruised and we did not have the opportunity to sign up pre cruise so I am clueless how it works!

The only thing we had trouble booking as first time cruisers was the jedi training, and I was able to snag that by going back 3 weeks before sailing. It took a couple of tries, but a spot opened up. The meet and greets were easily available.

Just FYI - the pre-booked Meet and Greets do not mean you don't have to wait in line, and lines can get pretty long. We still waited around 30 minutes on both cruises for ticketed meet and greets. The ticket aspect means if you don't have a ticket, you can't participate in that meet and greet, but there will still be lines from all the other people who have tickets.

Thanks! I knew there would be some wait still but our previous cruise was right after Frozen came out and we waited close to 2 hours to see Anna :sad2:so 30 min will be easy. Also noticed that when I looked at some old Navigators from SWDAS it just said characters around the pool, characters in Atrium but did not mention what characters were where. My daughter just wants to see Leia or Rye my son Chewbacca the rest of the characters will be added bonuses :)
