Online Check in at GF..what do you request?

Going to do online check in for GF...is there anything you request? Do you feel ground of higher floors make a difference? This is our first time staying there...thanks!

The time to make those types of requests is when you book the resort. There is no ability to make special requests, except for a couple of medical ones, during the on-line check in process.

Call Disney now and have your preferences noted on your reservation.

We had booked a Lodge Tower Room for next month and the booking agent noted on the reservation that we wanted a Marina View Room. When I do the online check-in, I will most likely add that I would like a 2nd or 3rd floor w/balcony in Sago Cay. When I do requests on the on-line check in (which is rare), I always follow-up w/a phone call to the resort. In the end, no request is ever guaranteed but it never hurts to ask.

Which view do you have booked? I would try to avoid the DVC construction.

I wouldn't do online check-in (personally). It makes it tougher for the CM to switch rooms to meet your requests if you are not placed somewhere you want to be. It is not advised for those who care more about getting their "ideal" room than speeding through check-in to do it online.

As for low vs higher floors, that comes down to preference. Personally, I like being elevated and having a balcony as opposed to a patio. I would be wary of the top floor rooms (can't remember if there are 4 or 5 floors) since those dormer rooms have smaller, enclosed balconies. Some people do love dormer rooms, though, due to their elevated ceilings. Here again, it comes down to personal preference.

I already suggested this to you in the GF FAQ, but I would request Conch Key due to its convenient location and lack of construction views.
