Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I just completed our reservations for CRT and PSD at Akershus - both of which require credit cards if you're not on the Dining Plan.

To avoid the credit card requirement, click the link for "Retrieve Reservation" just above the date selection. Once your resort reservation (read: DDP) is associated with the dining reservation, you should be all set.

I wonder if it's coz we're booked through a UK travel agent so it doesn't recognise the dining plan?
Any other ideas? Or will we just have to ring in?

Here's the question: When I'm booking for CRT and PSD, using MY reservation number, will it allow me to make reservations for the entire group with the DDP (no CC required), or will I need to pay with a CC for the members that AREN'T on our reservation? Has anyone else had this specific situation?

OK, I thought I'd go ahead and answer this question (now that I've done it) for anyone that wonders the same thing as me.

After logging in and retrieving our resort reservation, the ADR system did NOT require PAYMENT for any of the dining reservations/members. At checkout, a CC is still required, but the total amount charged was $0.00.

Oh, and FWIW, I was able to get the 90+10, and we're at CRT on the 18th at 8:10 AM and at PSD at 5:10 PM on the 19th.

Now we've just got to get the group to figure out where they want to eat for the rest of the meals...

OK, you've got me on that one. I'm a newbie at this system, and I've only just now completed my first reservation. If it doesn't register your dining plan after the login/retrieve, you may have to call...

I would call in, the system EVEN though I had my reservations with dining plan listed wanted to charge me for Cinderellas round table, so I just called and made the reservation over the phone, there they only needed a cc number to hold the reservation.

I am sure this has been addressed, so forgive me for asking again. We are going down with another family, and we want to make reservations for HDDR together. We will be on the dining plan. Can I make reservations for all nine of us online without having to pay, or will I have to call for this reservation? I know I can make an online reservation for a party of nine, but I do not want my credit card to be charged for the meals. We have a Grand Gathering number, but our reservation numbers are different.

I had the same thing happen. Called to get FD and mentioned that it charged for HDDR even though we have free dining PIN. CM was really helpful, said they found and fixed the glitch with the online system and then proceeded to correct our ressie and credit back the card. Actually they cancelled the first ressie and rebooked all while I was on hold.

This allowed us to get all the ressies we wanted. Yeah!!!!

***Update 7/23***I called CSR and asked rep what phone number was associated with the reservation that would not come up for me. Sure enough ,I fat fingered the phone number.
Made all of my 8 reservations today online, one thing is I am unable to pull one of my reservations via online. It won't pull up, I called CSR and they are able to retrieve reservation. They said it was new system and bugs still being worked out. Should I worry?

Seems like a lot of folks are having a lot of problems with this new system. I think they have worked out a lot of the kinks now, as we have made a number of dining reservations for this coming week as well as for September, and haven't had problem one with the system.
I just hope that a lot of reservation people have not lost their jobs because of this new system.

I booked my DS and future DIL's honeymoon . We were lucky enough to receive a free dining pin e-mail which my AAA TA applied to their reservation. Booked all their dining ADR's 90 days out, which was July 19th. All ADR's are confirmed.

Now here's my question: Does it say anywhere on the WDW site that they have free dining? I have all my paperwork from AAA stating they have free dining. Thanks

I think what I will do is book my ones that I don't really care is they get "erased" you know easy ones to get back if the system messes them up-- but I'm worried about LeCellier if I get it cause I've read on here peoples ressies disappearing somehow...then when they call about they lose them all I am a little that I will bumble up my on ADR"s with this online sytem-- I did "try" to make one the other day-gave me times for "other" restaurants since mine wasn't available--think I'll really have to practice this b4 Aug 14--there is a free dining code at that time too-now I'll be falling over people to get what I want!

I've had this problem yesterday and still today.
All ressies done online or on the phone for my dad, none of them I can pull up.....

But I did some for myself yesterday which I can pull up just fine.

Poor dad, he's very worried!!!

This probably won't help, but make sure you're using the correct phone number if you may have used a cell or home #. Also, check that you're using your dining res #, and not your resort res #. Besides that, it may just be glictch, and I'd recommend calling the reservation line and checking over the phone.

The online ADR system worked great for me this morning. Got everything we wanted, and the confirmation #s came back up when I checked them later.

I forgot that the system rolled at 6:01AM instead of at 7:00AM, so I was a bit late this morning. I still got most of what we wanted, except:

Tutto Italia - I had to take something about 45 minutes later than we wanted.

Tusker House (lunch) - I had to take something about 20 minutes earlier than we wanted (or two hours later).

I love how they send an email with all the confirmation numbers. Very convenient. Next time I'll know not to bother copy-and-paste-ing.

I hopped on right after 6 AM. I was shocked at how easy it was to grab the coveted Le Cellier dinner reservation. There were plenty of times available. Also snagged Kona, Tutto, Chefs de France, and Yatchsmen without any issues.

I think the key was practicing with the ADR system beforehand, and then jumping on as soon as 6:01 rolled around
