Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I just called and they told me no way could they enter a phone number for me.
I booked thru AAA. I can't even get a return email let alone count on them to make adr's for me. By the way, which she had never even heard of!!!

They can't enter a phone number because you booked through a TA. Disney knows about this issue and is working on getting it resolved

Just because AAA has "Disney months" and disney promotions doesn't mean all their TA's know Disney. One good rule of thumb on choosing a TA is how many questions they can answer off the top of their head without "having to get back to you"

Good luck

We are going for free dining in September. I called to make our ADRs at the 90 day mark last Sunday. Is there a way to go on-line just to verify your reservations? I just wanted to make sure they were correct. One of the confirmation numbers they gave me is missing a digit so I just wanted to check.

Question: My 90 days is tomorrow. We are staying DVC, using a friend's points. I have our ressie number and their phone number. Should I even bother trying to do them online or just call at 7 am? Thanks. :goodvibes

Yes, you can retrieve diing ressies online (even ones that you made on the phone), but I had to enter the confirmation number to get them.

It knows when the 90 day mark is by what date you are trying to book. You are only going to be allowed to book 90 days from today.

When you get ready to actually book in order to get the 90days plus 10 booking you will have to put in a recognized Disney resort reservation for that time frame.

So you will have to put it in at the beginning to get the plus 10 day advantage. Anyone can book 90 days out.

Oh, ok, that makes sense. I didn't try to look for anything past 90 days from today! Thanks! I still have a little over a week to get this all straightened out before I have to do it for real! Soooo nervous! It's so ridiculous to be so nervous about restaurant reservations! :rotfl:

This might be a stupid question, but I hope someone can help.

I spent this morning typing in all of my phone ADR's after I made my online ADR's so that they would all show up on one page. Once I had those all typed in my online ADR's no longer showed up because they were linked to different phone #'s. The phone ADR's were linked to home # and the online ADR's were linked to my cell. After typing in all of my online ADR's on the same page as my phone ADR's I finally had them showing up on the same page. When I sent them to my email it showed up blank. Fortunately, I did print them out, but now when I log in and go to retrieve my reservations nothing shows up until I type them in one by one with the correct phone # beside them again. Will I have to do this everytime I want to see them? Does it not save what you've pulled up?

to help me clarify booking the 90+10 online, if I put in my phone number that is on my resie it will allow me to book the +10 on my 90 days.:confused3

1. After the booking system loads, look for this line, just above the "Date & Time" line:

Do you have a Resort reservation for the same days for which you're making dining reservations? If so, please retrieve your reservation.

2. Enter your reservation number and the phone number you gave when you made the reservation.

3. It will pull up your reservation, and if you're within the 90+10 window, extend the available dates for booking.

Of course, this is what I THINK works. I'll know for sure at 6am tomorrow. I plan on giving a full write up then of what I did.

That is exactly how it works. I've already tried it. If you are logged in, and have an existing resort reservation, the system should recognize that immediately and open the +10 without you having to do any additional work. Good luck.

Please forgive me in advance - I've read through a TON of posts over the last 2 days and I've tried to keep up with as many as possible! :rotfl2: I'm anxious and excited like a lot of you because my ADR date is in 13 days! :cool1:

SO, I understand there are issues with Conf#s from TA's versus booking directly with Disney. I understand the process of how to book online as I've played around with it (and cancelled!) and it's cool once you get the hang of it. So, anyone can book just 90 days out - it's the 90 +10 that's the issue. Where can I "test" my confirmation number and phone number? I'm almost positive the phone number is valid because I've seen our number in there, but the confirmation number will be the hiccup, correct? I went to the Online Check'in where it asks for a Confirmation number and a phone number and I'm getting the error message:

My Disney Vacation - Error
Sorry, we are not able to display your reservation at this time. Please try again later.

Is this a typical error message you all are experiencing or does this indicate indeed my conf# won't work?

I remember another poster asked if the TA is able to give us a different conf# so we could do these online ourselves, or is it the TA's are able to book online since they're connecting to a different site or portal?

If I have to call, no problem - I took the day off! :lmao: I'd love to be able to book online like most others, however and have the same opportunity at 6am.

I sincerely appreciate someone taking the time to answer my questions and give me advice!

Thanks,
Heather

Okay...so I am not the most computer literate person in the world. Where do I go to see the dining reservations I have already made? A previous poster said you need to have the confirmation number to do this. That's fine, I just can't seem to find where to look. I went into My Vacation and put in my resort reservation number, but that does not bring up dining reservations or the tour I have planned, for that matter. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Hey guys,

I'm getting close to making the ADR's for our Sept 19th-25th FD trip & the opening up of online ADR's is making me all the much more frazzled :scared: I was worried about it being competitive as it is to get the resteraunts I'd like nevermind having someone with quicker fingers clicking in their dates before me as well ;)

I was just curious to those who have tried both ways - which do you find works better - the online system or calling and talking to an actual CM ? Does anyone know if you are more likely to find a difficult to get ADR like Le Cellier with a CM's extra knowledge or possible last minute cancellation ? I know this could go both ways because you are subject to having a possible slow moving CM answer your call....

Thanks for any input :thumbsup2

since the online adr just opened up...it may take a few days to get a good answer to this

HI, I was just wondering if it is possible, through the online booking, to see what times are available for a specific restraunt or do i have to check each time individually? I really want CRT for 8/18. I have been checking through online booking but I have to go through each specfic time ex: 8:15, 8:30, 8:45, 9:00, 9:15, etc. and do a search for each time. Is there a way to just see if any adrs are available for the entire day? Thanks

I don't think so. I had made reservations a month ago and silly me..I decided to try out the new online dining reservation to "check them" Well nothing came up for my confirmation numbers and I freaked out. I called WDW Dine and she said not to worry they were all still there. So maybe you can only verify ones you've made online

If I were you, I'd try the online booking at 6:00am on your 90 day and if it's not working the way you'd like, call at 7:00 am to talk to a cm.

Yes, you can!!!

I just checked all my ADRs online and printed out the confirmations. You need to enter your confirmation #'s, your phone number, and at the bottom of the boxes, it says "Multiple Confirmations". Keep clicking that until you get the number of boxes you want---I used seven.

It's great and now I have a printed record of every ADR.

I got all my desired ADR's by phoning the dining line, except 'Ohana for dinner, which I could not seem to find any availability no matter what night I asked for.
Then, today, I decided to play with the online dining feature so I plugged in "check range of dates" and believe it or not, a 5:30 dinner came up for 'Ohana on our first day there (Friday 9/11). I had already made lunch reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern, so this was a real dilemma (not... :rotfl:). I was able to book 'Ohana online then cancel LTT in the same session.
