Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I got ahold of my travel agent and she gave me the phone number linked to my reservation and said that in the morning I will be able to get the 90 +10 with that... I told her that it was not working to pull up the reservation and she said that it will work on the dining part in the morning cause that is when my 90 days hits... She said that the regular resort package reservations has not been pulling up for them since this morning... I will say that I got a "system error" not a message that it was a wrong number...
 
I'm also interested in the times to book - I thought I'd be up early on Saturday to call in for 7:00 am - if I can start at 12:01 am I will book then instead - anyone know???
 
This is very exciting!! Does anyone know what time you can book? Does it start at 12:01am on your 90 day mark?

Actually I don't think that has been determined. The system is going to be online 24/7 but it is not clear yet as to when you can book the 90+10.

Another thing they obviously did not think through before releasing.
 
Right now my understanding is the 90 days plus 10 can only be booked by calling, that includes everyone.

I hope that's true, but....

..two different posters, in a different thread (I linked it a few pages back) both reported that they were able to use their confirmations to get 90+10.

I missed that and really don't know why anyone would have waited until after 7am this morning to book 90 days plus 10.
 
Does anyone know how the time slot is working? In other words, if I put in 6PM for LeCelleir what time fram will it search?

I wish it had a time frame to search. Say 4-9.

It tells you in it that it searches one hour before and after the time you select. So you can't search 4-9, but could do 5, then 7, then 8 I guess. You can search for up to 5 days though for that 2 hour time slot.

I will report back in the morning... I am hoping it works, the TA said they have been dealing with it today and has been able to get people in the system so I am hopeful...

I don't think it works exactly like that because I was trying for a dinner at 50s PT on 8/25 and it told me there was NO availability. I got a list of suggestions for totally different restaurants in DHS and Epcot. There are early lunch times on 8/25 that are available so it must be differentiating somehow between lunch and dinner because it didn't suggest lunch at the same place.

Has anyone been able to book a Fantasmic package? I put in different dates and times for the week 8/24 that would correspond with those packages but never saw any listed in my reservation options. However I don't know if it is because there is zero availability on all three dates or if you can't book them on-line.

Is there anyway to get more than 1 dining option when searching? It seems to just give you the first opening it finds. i.e. a 5 day search will yield the opening on the first day only, even if the time is not as good as another day.

Right now, you have to do 5 individual searches to see what times are available each day, and then decide which one is the best and search again for that one.

It would be nice if it gave you, say 10-20 openings at The Crystal Palace on one page, and you could select the best.
 
I don't know if this has been asked but, is there some sort of security when it comes to putting in a ressie number? In other words, is there any way someone could cancel dining ressies by entering a resort reservation off a few numbers from their own? I only ask because one year a HDDR ressie of ours was canceled and since we hadn't and it was made a year in advance I assume the CM who was canceling someone else hit a wrong key. Also, if you change your resort and have a different ressie number, what happens with dining made with the 90+. Will the computer cancel the dining when the room cancellation goes through? :confused3
 
I actually wish they had waited till after my date on the 28th. There is nothing to prevent people from hoarding adrs. This is nuts. Without penalty for no -shows people are just going to be booking every breakfast, lunch and dinner and pick and choose what they want. I wont but there are a huge amount of people who will. I have a feeling nothing is going to be available when I call. I think people would have been a lot less likely to do this, when they had to call a person, wait on hold, have an actual discussion (during operating hours). Now if you can do it 24/7 I think this could be really tough. Actually is there anything to prevent someone who is not even going from logging on and making adrs just for the fun of it? Booking them up to hold them? You don't have to be a disney guest to book so what stops someone (at all the restaurants you don't have to enter a credit card) from just making adrs? Also, I really want to know the time question. Do you log on at 12:01 am or at 7 am? No one seems to know. I am sadly pretty sure le cellier is out for us for the second year in a row... I hope I can get CRT for my girls. If they are going to do this they really should have put in a penalty for no-cancel, no shows.

Fantasmic packages, Food and Wine, Candlelight will not be booked online, not sure if it will ever be offered but not now.
 
Hmmm.... ok I confess, I'm not the most computer literate person around, but what the heck is this? Everytime I try to check on availability for any of the restaurants on Disney's online system, I get this pop-up.

Does anybody know why this keeps popping up for me? I can't access the system for some reason, but I seem to be the only one having this problem? Anyone else getting this pop-up? How do you get around it?

Anyone with computer experience that can help? :) Thanks! :worship:
