Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Can you retrieve your reservation with confirmation number and phone number if your 90 days hasnt opened yet? I have a Disney conf number and cannot retrieve my reservation using either my home or cell numbers. Do you run the digits together, or doesnt that part matter???

I wasn't able to retrieve my reservations before my 90 days. I used the confirmation number from my travel agent and tried my home number, cellphone and the travel agent's number with no luck. My travel agent was on the phone with disney reservations for more then 45 minutes as I listened and it sounds like that you won't be able to make your 90+10 online if you use a travel agent. If that is true, no one will book with an agent and that means less money Disney has to pay out.

Maybe they are reviewing all your double bookings. I understand that you had the intention of cancelling them but Disney does not know that and I have read many situations on the boards this week that in a matter of seconds from 6am reservations opening many are already not available. I think people need to plan out their ADR's and not double book (no matter what the intention).

Sorry if it is not the answer you wanted to hear but lets be fair and only reserve what you are going to use. Leave ADR's that you have no intention of using for others.

I agree with you. People need to make a plan and stop booking breakfast, lunch and dinners knowing full well they only intend to use one but have not fine tuned their plans.
I too was online at 6:01 am and many ressies were not available.

When I checked online, nothing I wanted was available, but once I called, I had better luck.

So, I actually called on my 89 day mark because we decided to add two days at the beginning on the 90 day mark (of the new start of our trip) at about 10:00p CST.

Despite the delay, I was able to get everything except...wait for it...wait for iiiiiit...Le Cellier. Darn you free diners!! Kidding, kidding...

9.27 - CP Breakfast at 8:05 (requested pre-opening)
9.27 - 1900 PF Dinner at 7:40 (requested withing the 7:00 hour)
9.28 - H&V Breakfast at 8:15 (requested pre-opening; sending mom out at RD for TSM FPs)
10.1 - CM Dinner at 6:50 (no request for time)

We were hoping for Le Cellier lunch on 9.30 for mom's bday, but nothing yet. I was originally checking for 5a, 3c, but I've since decided that if I can get them a four top ADR, I'll take the three kids so my mom, aunt and grandparents can eat at LC. I was, however, able to get a 10.3 ADR, as we may add an extra day to the end, as well, but it does seem kinda silly to pay for another night's lodging just to eat at LC. We'll see what happens...

Congrats on getting most of what you want :cool1:
Keep trying for LeCellier, you never know what will open up.

Can someone confirm that you can book adrs using the 90 + 10 rule online? Because that is what I was told as I asked why can't I access my reservation I just keep getting an error message.

Trying calling and have them check if your phone number is attached. I couldn't log in until they added my phone number. For some reason when the resort reservation pulls up under the dining the phone number seems to get deleted.

Thanks!

I called today, and when the CM asked how she could help me, I said "Oh, it's just our daily call to check on Le Cellier." Bless her heart, she tried both configurations on four days and all times and found nothing. She went at it for 15 minutes! I thanked her profusely for trying and gave her props on the following survey.

Although I haven't had luck, the online system at least makes me feel like I'm doing something to help the cause. ;) I guess hounding Disney Dining is half the fun, right?:laughing:

The only issue we had was with Ohana. There were no available slots for a table of 4, however thanks to the tip from a fellow DISer, we changed the seating to 3 people, and like magic every time imaginable opened up. :cool1:

So, just curious, how will that work for your 4th person? I'm thinking you would get seated at a table for 4 with a reservation for 3 but is that how it really works? That's pretty cool! :cool1:

Has anybody been able to retrieve reservations they made on the phone on-line? I made three over the phone on 6/28 and was later in the day able to get on-line and make three more. I can retrieve the ressies I made on-line but not my phone ressies. Anybody else have this problem? Were you able to get it fixed?

I don't think its quite that simple and I'm sure the OP didn't have intentions of holding bookings she didn't want. I booked RFC last night. I couldn't get the time I wanted. This morning my preferred time was available so I thought great, I will change this. So I have booked my preferred time and then gone in straight away to cancel my original booking which was not preferred. I can't access them at all. In fact i can't access any booking I made even days ago. I didn't make my original booking with no intention of using it. I would have used it even though it wasn't my preferred time as it was all I could get. I don't feel that I shouldn't have been able to book anything until my preferred time came available. I would cancel the original booking that I no longer need if I could access this.

I also kept getting an error when trying to associate my ressie prior to my 90 days. I called the day before my 90 days and two people told me it wasn't working because my 90 days wasn't here yet and that it would work when it was time. They were wrong.

I was up at 6 (3AM here) on Sunday and I could not load my resort ressie in the dining system, even though I could from the my vacation page. I waited until 7 and called in. Luckily, I got through in the first batch of callers - no waiting. I got some of what I wanted, but not everything and some times were off. Interestingly, after making some ADR's by phone, my resort ressie now loads and works properly, so I've been able to change a few things around over the last couple of days (being careful to delete the earlier bookings immediately after getting the new one) and I have gotten closer to my perfect schedule.

Good Luck!

I'm just curious, what are you going to do when you show up with 4 people on a reservation for 3? The reason I am asking is because I had a Cast Member, actually 2 different Cast Members tell me that the restaurants are set up so that only so many people can be in the place at one time.

Ask the "master of the art", Len Testa from the Unofficial Guide - I think he turned up with 10+ people for a reservation made for 3 or 4 one time and they were all seated fine. I guess it depends on how many bookings the restaurant have got and how many people turn up though. To be honest, I can't see them having many tables specifically for just three people, so you'll probably be seated at a table for four anyway.

We also know that ADRs, like PS before them, only guarantee that you'll be given the next available table after you check in. There will not be a table sitting empty waiting for you, in the way that there would be at other eating establishments.

I cant even see the ones i booked online. The first was made 3 days ago and i can't retreive it. I'm staying offsite so there is no room reservation linked to it. And I know the phone number I used. I'm starting to get a bit nervous as to whether they are actually there.

I really think they are opening up some ADRs slowly. I have been trying for a 50s PTC since Friday and couldn't find a single dinner opened. check this AM right before 6 and a whole bunch popped up.

Does it work for DVC reservations? Or only regular Disney hotel reservations?

Anyone else have this problem? I went into "my dining reservations" and tried to look up my ressies that I made online, about 3 of them, and only the one I made today came up. I even made one yesterday and it didn't come up. Can you look up your ressie number somewhere?

Thanks - hopefully that will hepl some people. Unfortunately a lot of other people (myself included) have been getting an error message when they try to enter their resort reservation # (booked directly thru Disney). The only option is to call direct or book one day at a time.

Hope Disney gets the kinks worked out soon...

Cathy

I had to enter my old phone number (haven't had it for 3 years but for some reason the computer system never ever updates it)....then it pulled up my reservation :) YAY

Try searching using the retrieve reservation link:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/store/retrieveReservation

Then enter your phone number and dining confirmation number. I just checked randomly and mine show up. I made the reservations a couple weeks ago - some online and some by phone and have never been able to get them to show up using the "my dining reservations" link or by entering my overall resort number. But if I search for each individual reservation I can pull them all up.

I just called dining and was told I cannot access with my reservation number because its more than 90 days out--that at 90 days it will magically recognize it and let me in. ( I know I cant make the actual ADR before that)... and also that its not letting me save/keeping my favorites also because its more than 90 days out. That is alot more suspicious--as it means you cannot do online planning of restaurants and event favorites more than 90 days out... hmmm...
