Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

You will be able to do the first one at 90-days out for the length of that stay, and then a few days later at 90-days out from the start of your second reservation for the length of that stay.

Of course [hypothetical mode: on] you could always call now and extend your first hotel booking to a full 10 days (at no extra cost for now, as you have already paid your one-night deposit) and then after you've made your first 10-day batch of bookings in August you could reduce it back to the actual length of your stay at that hotel....

I know this is hypothetical, but I find this a lot more troubling then people holding multiple bookings at restaurants until they decide what they want. People that hold fake resort bookings just to get to eat where they want? If you do this, it's possible somone won't be able to book their trip because the resort is full. That's a lot worse than not being able to eat where I want.

Not criticizing you, just trying to deter people from ever doing this.

Still on hold for ADR's - hope it won't be more than the 25 min wait that was estimated at 7:01!!! I work at 8 .am. (give or take today!)

UPDATE

Got my ressies!!! Very happy with the result and the wait on the phone was 23 minutes...ADR process for tables of six took 12 minutes and I now have secured:

Yak & Yeti 2 pm
Ohana 7:15 pm
Tutto Italia 6 pm
The Wave 5:55 pm
Chefs de France 6:00 pm
Le Cellier 7:15 pm
Princess Akershus 8 am (for the 3 girls!)

Now I can begin my rough day plans!!! Good Luck to everyone else who is on the ADR train this week!!

I made 2 adr's yesterday for our trip at the end of July & was able to find Chef Mickey's! I like this better than calling.

I found it easier to log into my account and save my favorites as it makes it easier to find the places I want to make ADRs at instead of scrolling through 9 pages.

WOW - they charge your credit card right away - I wasn't expecting that. I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but just an FYI. When you book over the phone, they don't charge your card right away its just a credit card guarentee.

Also, you cant cancel CRT online. I booked a better time this morning and went to cancel my first request - it wouldn't let me. Now Im on hold...

In about 5 min there will be an opening for 2 adults, 3 kids at CRT for Sept 12th at 10:30am - fyi

Okay, I am pretty excited about this because I am booking for a large group (8-10 ppl) and I was also booking separate reservations for the inlaws that are coming with us. It was a little tricky to get 10 people reserved at Hoop-Dee-Doo for 7:15, but I did it. So, I have:

The only thing I wasn't able to get was a fantasmic dinner package for the inlaws. We've seen it and decided to skip it this year with all of the problems they've had with crowds, but I thought the inlaws would like it. Oh well. Got everything else I wanted.

I used the system yesterday as I still had 1 night without ADRs so we added Raglan Road..It was simple and it also gave us backups since the time wasn't what I had originally asked for. I liked that feature.

I have to say that went very well!!! I had to make 11 ADR's and I got 10 that I wanted, perfect times...even Le Cellier (6:30) and Teppen Edo (5:50). The only thing I didn't get that I wanted was Tusker House. It was the last one I did and the only thing left was 3:20. We wanted dinner, not something between lunch and dinner, so I passed and booked Chef's instead.

Also, just wanted to say that all my ADRs were for 7 people. I got great times and 10 out of 11 choices...

I'm thrilled! This online ADR system is working great. I only wish they had a printer friendly version of the ADRs you could take with you to the park. The system also would not let me pull up all of my ADRs at once...said they could not be retrieved, but I can pull them up seperately.

Yep, I know it is a prepaid meal, however when I booked my first choice over the phone, it was just a credit card guarentee - they didn't actually charge my card that day - they would upon showing up.

When you book online, they charge your card right away....which is fine, I just wasn't expecting it thats all.

They've been charging credit cards, at the time of booking, for quite awhile now.
