Online ADRs - ever?

Does anyone thinks that WDW will sometime allow the online booking of ADRs? Or, do they want to keep this process in control of their people at the computer terminals? Just curious.

I asked a dining CM this before and they said they doubt it will ever happen. I think they want to keep control over the system- I think maybe talking to a person on the phone can help control people double booking, etc.

Ask yourself if you really want to entrust anything as important as your ADRs to Disneys website? I think it is possibly the worst Disney related website I have been on-slow, out of date and very VERY user-unfriendly-it has just taken me 4 days to book 2 MVMCP tickets on-line (This was after I was told British people couldn't buy them online )and I'm still not convinced that my order has actually gone through. I wouldn't dream of trusting anything so integral to my holiday to anything less than a real live flesh and blood person

Back in the "olden days", you used to be able to book reservations at a terminal/kiosk in Epcot if I remember correctly. You would think with today's technology, it would be easier now to do electronic reservations for the ADR's?

OMGoodness, that kiosk freaked me out the first time I used it. I did *NOT* expect to see a person at the other end.

I would love that, I'd even put my CC down for a 5 or 10 dollar if you don't show fee thing. It would make it so much easier as by the time I start thinking about my ADRs and realizing that I need to call them it's 10p-12a.
