I can't believe the time is almost here. Does anyone have any advice on what to bring, preperations before hand, what not to miss etc....... Just racking my brain here.
Thanks
Jen

Have a great trip!!! Disneyland is a magical place and you will have a great time.

Be sure to take a little time to sit on a bench and watch people and activites going on. Nice break and there is not a better place to enjoy!:D

I was just thinking about you and how you helped me with my trip and if you had gone yet. Where will you be staying? This time of year and I am sure you already have thought of this. Sunscreen and some water bottles. Wish I could remember what I might have said I wish I had but forgot. It will be great for you no matter what.

Hi Maple,
I haven't been around for a while since I went to visit my family out of state. We are staying at a fairfield inn that we got using hotwire.com. Hopefully it will be decent I havent heard to many reviews on the hotel. Thanks for the advice. I have heard that water is fairly expensive in the park. You are right though it will be fun regardless. Even if the crowds are horrible and he lines are a mile long.

Hi Jen. If you wouldn't mind, we are thinking of the Fairfield for our next trip, would you mind letting me know how it is when you get back? I hope you have a great time, enjoy yourself and go slow. Thanks a bunch!

Here's my advice:
1. Get there safely.
2. Have the time of your lives.
3. Get home safely.

HAVE FUN !!!

Hi Jen.

How much did you pay for the Fairfield on Hotwire? Do you remember the amenity icons? number of stars? Thanks.

Don't forget to get up early and be at the gates at opening! If you have kids, go directly to Fantasyland and ride Dumbo, then Peter Pan. Be sure to stop at City Hall and find out when and where your favorite characters will be hanging out for the day...and go have your picture taken. Take a break at Snow Whites Grotto (walk way to the right of the castle) - it's best in the evening with your sweetie! ;)

Do you have little girls? If so, then you absolutely must go to the Princess Story Time at the Tinker Belle Toy Shoppe in Fantasyland (to the left as you exit the castle) The times are usually 11a, 12p and 1p with a different princess at each story time. We've seen Snow White, Belle and Alice. Very entertaining. Sit to the left (as you look at the Princess) by the wall of toys (opposite the books)...the line for pictures/autographs forms here after the story is over.

I could go on...I just love Disneyland.

Enjoy your trip!

P.S. It might be hot...so you might consider going to WalMart or the Dollar Store and picking up a couple of those small, handheld fans. I like these much better than the larger fan/spray bottle...too bulky.

Jenn,
As a local who visits DL often, my best advice to you is to utilize the FastPass system to the max. It will save you tons of time in lines. Also, like many have said, go to the most popular rides (that do not offer FP) first - right as the park opens. Some rides like Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Matterhorn have long, long lines an hour or so after opening and never shorten. But most of all I wish you a wonderful family vacation and a sprinkling of pixie dust:D :D :D

I am sorry I am not going to be much help on the fairfield. The one we are staying at is right next to knotts berry farm. Sorry.
Jen
