We're at 18 days and counting here in MI.:cool1: I know some states have there own website that shows all of the current road construction going on. Is there a site that compiles all that info into one handy spot? That would be so much easier than looking at six different websites.

From Michigan, I'm guessing you'll be using I-75 most of the way?

Are you a AAA member? You can get a trip-tik strip map of your route and they will highlight all the construction areas. Get one from your local office or print online.

If you're on twitter, many states have traffic/construction updates for their highways. You could turn on mobile alerts before your trip and then turn them off afterwards, but I realize you'll be traveling through many states!

Rand McNally has a construction search page but it won't return more than one state at a time in its search that I can find: http://www.randmcnally.com/rmc/tools/roadConstructionResults.jsp

You can also browse the Fed. Highway Administration page: http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/trafficinfo/#cnst

For general info and trivia to amaze yourself or your kids: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_75 and http://www.interstate-guide.com/i-075.html

Peace :hippie:

Several models of tomtom (as well as their iphone app) report traffic delays---including those induced by construction. I'm finding the new IQroute + traffic features to be incredibly accurate for drive time.
