One way rental car question

Hi, I have not rented a car in over 15 years and have never rented one way before either. We are trying to get a rental car on a Saturday evening from MCO and will return it in Cape Canaveral on Sunday morning before our cruise. When trying to request a quote on both Expedia and Triple A, I am being told that it must be a roundtrip rental??? I know this can be done.

There are only two of us so a private town car will be pricey. Also, because we are flying in the night before we can not take advantage of the ship's service from the airport. (unfortunately, this is not a DCL cruise) The cost of a taxi was about $120 each way. I feel that renting a car each way is our best option.

Is there another way? If not, any rental car advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try carrentalsavers.com . Fill in your dates and make sure you click the circle that says "different dropoff location" and put in Cape Canaveral. (It's just under where you would put MCO.) If you had have mentioned your dates I would have tried it for you. And yes it can be done. You could also just go on any of the major car rental websites and try it.
