Have you ever bought one way airline tickets? What I mean is bought tickets to your destination one month and then buy the flight back home later?

Yes. Why do you ask?

Do it all the time but for a different reason. I book our family trip on Southwest one way down and one way back. This way if a Ding comes up for one leg of our trip and not the other I can cancel and rebook. After 9/11 they started extra screening on one way ticket holder. Snow birds got pissed so they stopped.

Okay, just checking. Trying to work out the budget. I have enought right now for one portion and I will have the other portion next month. I was just checking and I noticed the airfare went down from yesterday. Whereas it had been increading the last couple of weeks.

With SW we can only book through 8/13 and we are going to Disney from 8/5-8/15. The rates for 8/5 went down so we booked and now we have to ewait for 3/23 to book our return trip. Also if we get a Ding we can apply to our return flight.:upsidedow
