One time point purchase

I know I say the answer somewhere but I can't find it. How does the one time purchase of points work? I just decided to run the Tower of Terror 10 Miler in Oct but we are out of points. I would need 24 points. How do I go about purchasing those points. Trying to figure out if it would be worth is or not.

once you are within the 7 month window, just call MS.

but remember that they cannot be used to waitlist a reservation and also cannot be banked forward to the next UY if your plans change.

I need 11 extra pts for our trip in Oct 0f 2014 can we book in Nov and then buy the points at the 7 month window or do we have to wait? I really would like to book at the 11 month window our home resort is BCV

The one-time-use points can only be used 7 months out. You could book as many nights as your BCV points allow 11 months out. At 7 months out if there is availability for the last night you need, you can purchase the OTU points from MS and use them to book that last night.
