My 2 adult daughters (27 and 24) have decided to fly down to Orlando for literally 1 short day - some kind of nutty bucket list thing & they are hoping that Dinosaur is still open so that they can ride it 1 last time. The day will be short and they only have a short list of what they want to accomplish.....does anyone have any tips or advice?

-Trip Date: Thursday, Sept 12
-Arrive MCO at 9am
-Depart MCO at 8pm

2 parks: MK & AK - they will purchase LLMP

Rough Outline:
MK 10:30 - 1:30
Pirates, Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion & shopping/strolling

Bus from MK to AK 1:30-2:00

AK 2:00-5:00
Dinosaur, Everest, FOP (LLSP), It's Tough to be a Bug (maybe) & shopping/strolling

Does this seem feasible for them? Yes, I know it is ridiculous - I wish I was young LOL If anyone has any tips or advice or if the rough outline should be changed - please share :)

Skip the bus use Minnie Van, no time to waste!
^THIS^
They could lose a lot of time if they miss that bus and have to wait 20 mins for the next one. If they don’t want to pony up for the MV, walk to CR & get a rideshare.

Also they need to book their MPLLs the second they become eligible (3 days out) to try to get those times.

Honestly? I don't think this is ridiculous at all. This sounds like a fun sister trip they will remember forever. Even if things don't go exactly as planned, they are going to have what will likely be hilarious memories that their kids will recount one day. Good for them!

I am trying not to think about flight delays - fingers crossed! Maybe if they had a delay, they would just change their return flight to the next morning. I will make sure they are thinking of a backup plan!

Are they able to change their flights and stay over one night? My biggest concern would be a flight delay. If their incoming flight is delayed 3 or 4 hours they will be regretting this plan.
I completely agree with this! I’d recommend they spend the night to account for potential delays. I’ve flown around 20 times since late 2021 and every one of those flights, save one, was delayed by several hours.

Expensive for one day hoppers (unless you all have APs?) which could be more than the round trip flight depending on where they’re coming from, but otherwise this sounds like a fun little adventure! No checked bags or expensive accommodation required.

Timing wise it seems totally doable. Bad luck with a rainy day could put Everest out of commission but most of the target attractions should run just fine. 10/10 great memorable trip idea!

UPDATE: They did it and it was a perfect success. They had a great time and everything went as planned. They left home (in Maryland) at 4:30am and they were home at 11pm LOL
This was their itinerary:
-Woke up at 3am, left apartment at 4:30, got to BWI at 5. Boarded the plane at 6:15 and landed at 9:05.
-Took an Uber to TTC and got there by 10, then got to MK by 10:20.
-Breakfast: Cheeseburger spring rolls
-Big thunder LL
-Pirates LL
-Shopping/ice cream in Tomorrowland
-Space mountain LL
-Haunted mansion LL
-Shopping on Main Street
-Minnie van by 1:30 and got to AK before 2
-We had a LL for kali river rapids but skipped it to chill at flame tree bbq
-FOP 2:30 LL
-Dinosaur LL
-Everest LL
-Shopping
-Got an Uber by 5:15 and got to MCO around 6
Flight boarded at 7:35, landed around 10, and home by 11

Thanks for the update! My best friend and I are always watching for cheap enough flights to do this from Buffalo
