I have a trip soon and I borrowed points from 27. Use year is sept. It is a split stay with first night at CCV one bedroom. Then the rest two bedroom at AKL with extended family. Today a room came available for the first night I wanted. It was BLT resort view 36 points. The CCV room was 37 points. Some I have one point left in 2026 that I borrowed and won’t use. I understand the rules but also know member services will make exceptions. Are exceptions something you can only get once or twice? Don’t want to use a favor on one point. Lol. Probably not worth the effort but curious about people’s thoughts.

I'd probably just let it go. I mean, what's the max value of 1 point? Maybe $15-$20 if you're talking rental value. If you're booking a resort view studio in December, maybe it's $50-$60 (when comparing savings over rack rates)? Any way you cut it, just not enough money to lose any sleep over.

What points are your other reservations using? Banked/borrowed points or current UY allotment?

If they're using current UY allotment (even just one point) you can "modify" those reservations without changing anything. Make sure to select the contract with the borrowed point remaining. If you have any current UY allotment points on the reservation(s), it will free that point and you can bank it before 4/30 with your Sept UY.

You also mentioned "soon" in your scenario. Are the reservations 31+ days into the future? If so you can modify safely. If not, the point would go into holding.

I considered that. I figured did $20 because I could rent it for that. It’s not a big deal. It does make me sad a little to see a point go to nowhere.

Well.. if they didnt have that one transfer per use year rule, all these 1 point orphans can be combined into one account.
