We ordered (or attempted to order) 2 upgraded magic bands for the 4 of us along with 2 standard, and as with everyone else it was a struggle. When we finally got our order through the system 'magically' replaced the Thanos band with a grey one for DS. After a couple of phone calls came to nothing we gave up, got him a decal and moved on.
We're due to arrive a week tomorrow, and I have just checked the bands that are showing as waiting for us. There are only 3 showing, though it's DW's standard purple one that isn't showing (so the 2 upgraded bands and the grey one are there). I'm assuming it's down to the original order going through incorrectly, but could be wrong.
I'm not hugely keen on hanging on the phone for the best part of an hour again for another unsuccessful resolution. Does anyone think it may be useful to call AKL, check what they have waiting for us and trying to resolve that way? If we left it till we got there, can they just give you another standard one (without DS's name) and tie it to our room / reservation? Don't want to spend the first 2 hours of our holiday trying to get hold of a piece of plastic!
