Just a random thought, I am in the throes of planning another big vacation with another family, and I am once again loving my home resort yet again, especially when we entertain another family with us!

My reason? The extra bathroom!!! I cannot tell you how much I love having the extra bathroom in the morning when we have 5 of us sharing the 1 bedroom villa. We actually had the option to switch to a 1 bedroom in BCV, and we decided the extra bathroom (and the extra sleeper as opposed to having an air mattress) was just a better option for us with that many people!

Just getting excited for our vacation....it's not coming fast enough!!!!

I agree. My DH and I have a one bedroom later this month at Kidani. We were able to invite my niece and a friend of hers to stay with us for their college spring break only because we have that second bathroom. Otherwise I'd be unhappy sharing a bath with a stranger (my niece's friend) and I wouldn't have offered the free room to them. As is, they can come and go as they please and have their own space.

That is the #1 reason we are staying in Kidani for 10 nights come August.

Yes, learned my last trip that Kidani was the only one in AKV to have the extra bathrooms. I just didn't realize that Jambo didn't, so went I booked the Jambo 1 bedroom I was surprised when I walked in and there was only 1 bathroom for the 5 of us lmao. My mistake of course, I had thought all of AKV had the extra bathroom. But now I know better, and will be booking all my multiple family vacations in AKV Kidani (if we are sharing a room of course)! A friend of mine is staying in a 1 BR in AKV Kidani for the first time in September and I just told her of the extra bathroom, and she is thrilled (she hadn't known). :)

Actually it's a pretty big deal to us when it's just DW and I in a 1BR there. Definitely a big plus. :thumbsup2

We are taking a trip with extended family next month and are super excited for the extra bathroom. It will make a WORLD of difference. It was one of the things that sold us on buying at Kidani! I hope they continue using that floor plan in any new DVC resorts they may build in the future.

The extra bathroom is a HUGE bonus! We are planning a trip summer 2012 and are considering a 2BR value. We will have 8 people and only one of the 8 will be younger than 14:scared1:. The teens all insist that they can shower later in the day or at night. They are more intrigued with the idea of being close to the counter sevice restaurant and the other pool. We are more interested in being close to the bar! They have even stayed in a Kidani Savannah view, and are willing to make the change. We'll see how we feel about this at 11 months and 1 day. . .

We also love the quiet smallness of Kidani. The lobby is small and has the feel of a boutique resort, despite the fact that the rest of the resort is quite large. The variety of room options is also a nice feature.

I can't agree enough! We are a family of five and the three kids do not share a bed, so usually we are lugging two air mattresses with us and scrambling around to share a bath. It's is such a luxury to only bring a twin aerobed for our youngest and spread out a bit in the bathrooms.

I love, love, LOVE our AKV and BLT homes. I really can't believe they didn't follow this plan in Hawaii. :confused3

We were a little cramped in a two bed value with 4 adults and two small children under 10. No way would I try with that many.

Thanks for the input. I am personally leaning towards Kidani. We may even try to get a 2BR at BCV or BWV at the 7 month mark. We would miss the third bathroom, but at least the rooms would be big enough. Plus, with the teens, being able to walk to HS and Epcot would be a big advantage.

If we can't get in, though, we love the 2BR @ Kidani :thumbsup2
