Hi everyone! I am very excited to be posting this - I am preparing for my family's first trip to Disney! We will be going 4/28 to 5/6, with my hubby and two sons age 6 and 8. I am busy scouring this board and other places for info! :-)

We will be flying down and arriving 8 pm on Friday night at the Orlando airport. Starting from Saturday until the end of our stay we will be staying at the Sheraton Vistana (thanks to my grandmother's timeshare week that she let us trade in to get this!). However, we can't check in there until 4pm Saturday and we will be getting in Friday night. (oddly enough, to fly down Friday night instead of Saturday morning drops the ticket price about a $100 a pop!)

Any recommendations on a decent location and decent quality and reasonable price hotel where we can get a room for one night (Friday) - not looking for anything fancy, just a safe spot to relax and get over any jet lag and be rested for the adventure that will begin on Saturday.

I'm guessing we'll need to check out of that hotel Saturday morning by 10am or so and we'll have a few hours to kill before we can check in to the Sheraton - I figured we'll lock luggage in the trunk and be bop around - any recommendations or tips for this time period welcome also!

Thanks for any help!
Amanda

Why not just use the hotel located at the airport? Close......and wouldn't require you to rent the car a day earlier.

Im in the same situation as you only in reverse. Our timeshare is from Saturday to Saturday but we can't get a flight out until Sunday so we booked a room at Comfort Inn at Lake Buena Vista. Looks like a nice place, 660 rooms in 4 buildings and a guard at the gate for safety. Price was $59.95 for Easter Week.
