We just booked a flight to Orlando for May 28-31 with three moms total and our five kids total to see Dude Perfect on 5/30. I've talked the other two moms into staying a night at Disney and just doing an Airbnb the other two nights. So the first night, Thursday May 28th we get in to MCO around noon and would go to a Disney hotel, lounge by the pool, and maybe a hit a park that night. Friday, May 29th we plan on doing DHS that day and then that evening moving on to an Airbnb.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a group of 8 (3 adults, 5 kids) for lodging? Either a place we can all stay together, or split up into 2-3 rooms that adjoin? And if anyone has any suggestions on how to convince them to just stay on property vs an Airbnb for the nights of May 29 and 30th, I'm all ears!!!

Saturday, may 30th we plan on driving over to the Kennedy Space Center and then that night we have the Dude Perfect show somewhere in Orlando. We fly home on Sunday, May 31.

If you are trying to keep it as budget friendly as possible, look into 2 or 3 rooms at a value - Pop could be a good choice as it would offer you Skyliner access to DHS and EP. If you would like to guarantee that you are all together, look into a 2-bedroom villa. I would recommend BCV or BWV, again, to be closer to DHS. Do you have a budget in mind?

I'd stay value if it were me, even if ajoining were not available. It is only one night so I would not spend a premium anywhere. Pop would be good for the skyliner for DHS.

We'd like to keep it to $300 per mom per night, so $900 room total. I'm thinking doing one of the value resorts is our best bet. We are going as a family in March so we will get our main Disney fix then! :)

That will be great to get a lot more time at Disney in March!

You could easily do Pop on that budget. You could also consider Caribbean Beach in the mod category - you would still get Skyliner access at that resort.

Edited to add: I'm sorry, I was assuming $300 per night per mom, but now I think you meant $900 total for all nights! You could still try for 2 rooms at Pop on that budget.

You were right -- $300 per night per mom. We will be at CBR in March...we may just end of back there as it is such a great resort and the kids love the pool!

That's a nice budget! I don't know how you would feel about a villa, but you might want to see if there are any 2-bedroom villas under the Sun and Fun promo (or AP promo if you're an AP member). I went with another family last July and we stayed in a two-bedroom at BCV and it was awesome!!!

WoW! That is a great budget! You have lots of options.
$900 per night might get you a 2 bedroom villa if you are able to get a discount - especially if you are only looking for one night. Or you will likely afford 2-3 rooms at a moderate. Or you could save $ and do 3 rooms at a value - POP or All Stars. (Note: You will not be guaranteed connecting rooms at any resort if booking separate rooms as it is a request only.)

Good luck convincing the others to stay on site all three nights!

How about mentioning the advantages of staying on site. Some quick thoughts......
-With all three nights, you won't waste time moving off site.
-Staying on site gives 60 day FP+ booking privileges for all your days.
-If some people want to go separate ways or go back to the room early, others have the flexibility to do what they want instead.
-Staying on site makes you feel more like living the magic instead of just visiting it.

I would show your friends some videos and pictures of the resorts that you identify as possibilities (in budget and available). Do they like swimming? Show them some of the themed pools at WDW. Perhaps mention the underwater music in the pool at AOA. Are they into animated movies? Show them AoA suites (Cars, Lion King and Nemo) and suggest two of these suites for your group. Is the MK important? Show them a 2 bedroom at Bay lake Tower and mention walking into the MK as opposed to driving, parking, taking a tram, and finally getting on a boat our monorail to get to the same destination.

You get the idea.

Enjoy your trip! It sounds like a lot of fun!
