I have a business trip next week in St. Augustine and of course I have to bring my DW and fly into Orlando to make it:)

So next Friday, I’m taking a ½ day vacation and we’re going to stay at VWL in a Studio.
We’re going to eat dinner at Artist Point. :thumbsup2

Thought about going to the Pirates and Princess party that evening, but I think we’ll just enjoy the night at the Lodge. Plus we have an early flight Saturday morning :sad1: Looking forward to notching another DVC resort stay (even though it’s just one night) in our membership; it should hold us over till our trip in June!

Peace!

Once, we stayed at Hilton Grand Vacation club (sales presentation), and just HAD to go to Artist Point for dinner. WL was my special place to be, even before we knew about/owned DVC. Enjoy the special night!

Updated –

Well we had our one night at the Wilderness Lodge and we loved it, though we did change our plans completely. Arrived and checked in Friday 2/22around 1:30 pm, our studio was ready! It overlooked the walkway to the main lodge; we walked around the grounds/pool/beach, very nice! We then decided to cancel our Artist Point reservation (maybe we’ll get to try this restaurant another time) and purchased tickets to the pirate: princess: Party! It was about 2:30 and if we were going to stay up late we needed and took a nap

Got to the Magic Kingdom about 4:30 and here’s what we saw and where/what we ate

Before the party
Jungle Cruise
Hall of Presidents
Tiki Room (they really should change this back to the original)
Ate Dinner at Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station (very good, I was pleasantly surprised)

During the Party
Winnie the Pooh
Tea Cups
Minnie and Mickey’s House
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
Special parade (had some Mint Ice Cream from Main St)
Special Fireworks (Very good)
Cream Cheese pretzel and water – somewhere in Tomorrowland
Shopping (PnP Hooded sweatshirt, special pins for DS and DD)
Bags of cheap trinkets, I mean “treasure” (they were really skimpy with this loot, probably because they recently announced extended dates, and need to conserve till supplies are replenished?)

Overall the pirate: princess: party was fun, but not as fun as MNSSHP. Lines were very long (45-60 minutes) for all the character picture spots and we only got our picture taken with Belle after the fireworks. Got in line at the right time, and she was not listed on the map as a character spot so that probably helped. Glad we did it, but probably won’t do it again.

Love the boat ride from MK back and basically everything about VWL.:thumbsup2 We saw a lot in a short time, and this will definitely keep our Disney fix satisfied until June. We’ll be wishing for that mild Feb weather then for sure!

Peace.
