One night at the Plaza Hotel?

I have not stayed anywhere but WDW using my points and I am wondering if I can use my remaining points for 2001, which is 55 points, to stay only one night at the Plaza Hotel in New York? I am reading the chart, and it says 45 for Classic and 57 for Deluxe. Also, is there a timeframe constraint that I need to book within? Today is June 2 and I would like to stay one night at the end of June. Anyone know the difference between Classic and Deluxe?

There is something in writing in our guidebook (don't have it in front of me) about booking one of the hotels during the last 60 days of the use year. (not a DVC property, one of the others). Maybe someone can help out with the rest. Call MS on Monday morning and see. I hear the Plaza is fabulous!

so we are fine there. But I am closing in on the end of June. Is it possible to book when you plan to stay there in less than 30 days?

We did that exact thing last year~ used our remaining few points for one night at the Plaza and booked close to our date of going. I am sure it was within the month's time period. You can give it a try and see what happens. I imagine it depends on the availabilty. The point difference used to refer to the view from the room. Not sure if it still does... BTW, it was WONDERFUL!! Have fun!

I booked one night at the Plaza this past April on about 2 weeks notice. We had the Deluxe room- I think the difference is the bed size. We had the option of a King or 2 doubles. The view seemed to depend upon availability when we got there. We got a park view, but it seemed like that was just luck.

It was a wonderful way to spend the night in NYC. Point cost is steep, but definitely worth the experience.
